Cats brought me a slowworm this afternoon. Very cute! (Well, I like them, but not so much in my living room, plus I stung myself on nettles when I took it back into the wild). Thankfully one of few animals they will bring in to play with but not maim and kill. Also pretty much the only creature that DH will not deal with, so he'll be quite glad that came in on my watch!

Been up to HV clinic with LO this morning and she has only put on 4oz in the last fortnight, which I didn't think was much but they weren't worried as she is following her line okay (probably about the 20th centile - it's below the 25th anyway!). Finally made it to over 10lbs though :)

Kira- question is who to put in the baby book ;) and in which order

Crabapple- are the weight issue ! I hate those Bloomin graphs! As long as they are going up I think they are doing fine! Naughty cats :D

Found a use for my small amounts of expressed milk, they are now used as a mid afternoon snack... Feel like gonna be a one breast feed boob woman  he was refusing one side now as well but today has gone back to the unflavoured one and rejected the favoured one contrary little man lol still as long as he takes some milk everyday it keeps me happy even if just a tiny bit. Hate the pump though it seems to hurt my nipples even though think it is the correct size funnel. The older friends/family don't understand why I bother! I think it helps bonding, when he is in the mood he enjoys it, just wish we could do it more but once in the night and morning is fine.

Hello. Well Amelie got weighed on monday and weighed in at 6 pounds 15,so she's gained a whole pound since birth. Not surprised as she has a fantastic appetite. Will be starting baby massage classes next month. I'm sure she will love them. Hope everyone is well.

Mozzy are you up for meeting sometime next week for a walk?:)

Hi ladies! Lucy that sounds great. Kira and I walked to and around Carlisle Park yesterday. Nice park to do a few laps round. And it really does both baby and mum the world of good! I'm free any day besides Friday when I've got my 6 week check. Just let me know when's best for you both! :)

Hi Ro! Hope you well hun! Well done for keeping up with the breastfeeding! Good on you!

Crabapple, loving the cat stories! :)

Day two of Operation Bedtime Routine has gone well... I've been taking her upstairs at 6pm, done 15 mins or so of massage, into jammies and sleeping bag, feed and into moses basket for 7pm ish... She didn't take as long to settle tonight as last night, and I've only had to go up once tonight due to her losing her dummy, whereas it was two or three times last night. I'm shattered though, don't think I'll be long out of bed myself... She's been asleep for about two hours now, she normally goes about four hours for her first stretch, so I might go and try and get a couple of hours before I'm summoned for the first feed...

That's great, well done you! We're pretty much doing the same thing. Bath, feed, swaddle, upstairs by 8-8:30pm. Only really having to go back up to put dummy back in. So far so good.

LO has happily done bath (daddy was telling her all about swimming), boob and bed. I went for a nap when he got home - my first baby free time for several days and I was out like a light! All peaceful here now except that I haven't had my dinner yet so up doing that before more sleep.

Got to clean the house tomorrow as standards have definitely slipped :o. Since she started not napping during the day I don't have time to do anything. She screamed today when I put her down for five minutes to hang some washing out. Apart from that it was her either wanting attention/cuddles or having more boob all afternoon. The major highlight was when she was in her bouncy chair listening to the nursery rhymes it plays and grinning like a loon - just so cute! She doesn't like it for too long though, probably a bit much for her short attention span yet.

Mozzy - with five cats there's usually one doing something weird! Each of them is mad in their own special way! The bad thing about having that many is that there is always one underfoot at the wrong moment, and buying food. Not just the expense but the quantity. Every time I do it by myself I have a trolley full, end up saying there's five of them to explain it, then want to make sure the till operator knows I also have a husband and a baby so they don't think I am some lonely mad cat woman:rotfl:.

    Hello all !

Lucy - seems u missed I by a few minutes. V frustrating when they change when they wake and U are awake. Done that a few times! Hope u are back to sleep now x by the way LO sounds like she is doing well.

Kira- mummy is all well and good but my mother HATES my dad so gonna be interesting

Crabapple- made me laugh about the cat food, now how did you end up with 5? Was is 1 by 1 they sneaked in as word got around about good food, lots of stroking etc or did you have 5 kittens at once :rotfl: Dylan is bad enough as a trip hazard can't imagine 5 cats under the feet :)

Must admit am jealous of u lot with ur parks!! Have to make do with a all tree lined dip round the corner for now :rotfl:

Have not instigated anything like a bedtime routine  other than 'here u go daddy I'm off to bed' ! He looks after him whilst I go to bed at 9 ish he usually takes him up around 10-10:30 but let's him nap during the evening.

We had visitors from my old work again with lovely bouncy thing they sit/bounce their feet on/make music! They really should not have spent so much buy it was lovely, one lady had missed seeing him last time so she came with one of my ex bosses. They fussed over him and one said to him he needs to sleep until 4am he managed 4:35  the latest previously was a bit after 3, think they wore him out with cuddles :D
    Nite all
