Morning all. Hope you have a nice day shopping Ro! The plan for today is still housework, but DH only got up at 10 when I made him so not got anywhere with that yet. LO was up at 6 tho, so I've been awake for some time. Was a pretty good night though, sounds like most of our babies are getting better at sleeping at the right times!
How do you end up with 5 cats? You start with a DH who is a big softie! He had 3 when I moved in with him, 2 of which we still have so we've lost 1 and gained 3 since we got together. Seeing as I worked out how to do it - these are my furbabes at the only time you can get them all in one place... dinnertime!
Top to bottom-
Lily and Marmy (Marmalade) who came from local cat shelter after our lovely Guinness died. He had been adopted from the next door neighbours by DH when they moved and left him seeing as he spent more time with DH who actually fed and cared for him than them. Lily and Marmy were supposed to be 'one more cat' but were a brother and sister who could not be separated.
Willow who was the child of a teenage stray mother that moved in with one of DH's workmates. I knew when she asked us over to 'see the kittens' she was actually looking for homes and knew DH would cave.
Rosie who used to live rough at the back of DH's work. They took food in even on the weekends and kept her alive, finally managed to catch her, and DH ended up taking her home.
Boris who DH got from RSPCA, another stray. He's a grumpy old man but most definitely my favourite as he had never been cuddly with DH but absolutely loves me and will sit on my lap for hours!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Love your cats Crabapple! The most I've ever had at one time is four... We've got two now.
How's everyone doing tonight? All sleeping I hope... I'm just trying to get Amelia back to sleep after a feed and nappy change. She did the most enormous loud poo as I was feeding her, it made me jump!:j Debt Free 27.07.2011!! :j0 -

Got a nuby Deluxe bottle/food walmer steriliser as splashed out from boots as thought could be useful and keep thinking boiling the kettle too much during the day and etc you can put all sorts of bottle in it etc sterilise small items too, hope I don't kill it.... !! Hi Everyone
Was just wondering, for those mummies who are bottle feeding, how old is your little one and how much/how often are they eating? Ava seems to be a right guzzler and isn't going 3-4 hours between 4oz feeds during the day, although she does seem to be during the night.
Any advice appreciated0 -
Hi Darkphaery,
my LOis 9 weeks on Monday, and on 6oz of hungry baby milk every 3 hours!! He's just started to go longer after his 7pm feed, normally waking around midnight, and then back to 3 hourly.0 -
Darkphaery, Elliot's on expressed milk when I'm at work and got through 15 oz in 8 1/2 hours on Friday... about 4oz at a time so lots of smaller feeds, about every 2 hours. He's reasonable at night though, mainly has one feed now about 3am then awake at 7am (apart from last night, when he was awake far too often!).
We've only got one cat because DH is allergic. He had quite a major anaphylactic reaction not long after we got our cat, when he was scratched catching her (and he was driving when the reaction started!) but we got to Tesco and stuffed him with antihistamine, and he's been much better since. Not sure I'd recommend it as a solution to allergies though. It's easier than the original solution, which was to soak our cat in Petal Cleanse every week to keep the allergen levels down!0
