Half a teaspoon of sugar to 2oz of water or 1 teaspoon of fresh oj in 1oz water. Both have worked for me. Which milk is he on? Heard that SMA gold can be too rich for some littlies tummies, maybe better with aptamil or cow and gate xx

    Hi All

Thanks for the advice, Gillyx he is on cow and gate. Had to leave him with my mum while I was in the dentist earlier and she said he did a big poo!! I was v.happy lol. She said it wasnt hard at all, so hopefully the water has done the trick. :)

Ro - I think I am all healed now thanks, couldnt sit for ages though and felt like I missed out on a bit of time with him because even feeding him was hurting.

Hope everyone has had a good day and had some sunshine, its lovely here. xx

Hi and welcome Sunshine! I remember your thread on childbirth, glad its all done now and your little man is here safe and well!

Had an appointment with Poppy's Consultant today, he was extremely pleased with her progress and her oxygen requirement is coming down fast, he doesn't think it will be long until she is only on nightly oxygen! Was very reassuring to see him, he gave her a very good check over and told me I was doing a wonderful job and he was amazed how calm I've been with the oxygen and all the medication!

Can't believe how gorgeous the weather is, lets hope it lasts for the Easter weekend, have lots planned for my little family!

    Take care all.

Me too with regards to the sitting. I was cut and had a 3rd degree tear. And I just couldn't sit to do the breastfeeding, so OH had to top up with formula. It took a while, but am eventually healing. Still sore when I finish pee'ing though, so must keep at my pelvic floor.

Hello can I finally join this thread? Isabella was born on Sun 25th March @ 13:48, 10 days late after having a sweep on the 22nd. It wasn't the easiest birth ever, my contractions started on Sat 4am not too bad initially, they were about 5-7 mins apart and lasting around 1 minute.

Left it until 7am and went to the hospital where they said I was 2 cms and to go home until the contractions were 2-3 mins apart and lasting a minute. They never got that close!!! I waited until Sun morning 6am and the contractions were unbearable, but were 5-10 mins apart lasting about 1 min. Even downloaded a contraction counter on to my phone to help time them properly.

Decided to ring the hospital who sounded a bit reluctant, but went in and they said I was 6-7cm dilated!!!

I was so tired, hadn't slept well for 2 nights. I couldn't have gas and air it just kept making me throw up. Did use the birthing pool for a while which was quite nice, but in the end the baby began getting a bit distressed turned out the umbilical cord was wrapped around her neck, plus she wasn't quite coming out the right way she was slightly to her side so had to have a ventouse and episiotomy in the end.

Finally she came out at 8lb 5oz, needed a few stitches and loss about a unit of blood.

I then had to stay on a ward then with 2 of the noisest babies in the world, so still didn't get much sleep!!
