I wish I had given LO calpol after her first jabs but I was adamant I didn't want to give it unless she definitely needed it. She screamed when she had the jabs then slept for 2 hours - then she woke up and screamed for 2 hours solid  2nd jabs I gave the calpol striaght after and had no probs.

I would go for the weigh in before jabs, being stuck with a needle is more traumatic than taking your clothes off ;)

I agree. LO had her first jabs today. Poor thing. Definately best to do checks first then jabs.
She cried about 5 mins after the jabs, then got quite sleepy. She hasnt been too grizzly, but has been subdued since, and quite sleepy and not feeding properly- kept starting, then sucking 3 or 4 times, then stopping. She went down to bed very easily but hasnt had anywhere near her usual 40-60 mins pre bed feed, so expect her not to do her usual 7 hour stint.
Tried to give her some calpol, but it made her wail and kept spitting it out!

Oooh, we have a maxi cosi cabriofix! Although we do have the isofix bases - I've not actually used the car seat without the base, I'm waiting for someone to break in and steal it before I have to do that. The base is really good. Very easy to get the car seat in and out. Especially in the rain. Plus, the green/red signs show whether your car seat is in correctly which makes me feel more reassured.

Oh, just to add, I wasn't intending on getting the isofix...It was just that my partners car seatbelts aren't long enough to fit any car seats in, so the isofix really was the only way we could transport the baby in his car.

Thanks... I have a load of Fuzzibunz too but they're birth to potty so still a bit big on Amelia, even on the smallest setting. Just waiting for her to put a bit more weight on then we'll be using those... Don't think I can justify buying any more! Although there's a 'preloved' page on Facebook that I've joined and it's hard not to get carried away by some of the lovely nappies people are selling!

If you're on Facebook there's a 'Cloth Bum Mums' group too...

The Totsbots are ok height wise, but don't seem to fit tight enough round his legs. The cheap Ebay ones have a popper above the leg, so guess that's why they leak less? I like the pretty nappies, but some of them are so expensive even second hand! My Ebay ones only cost me £30 for 10. :) Now... of all the Ebay ones, he's only pooed in the red ones! :D I joked earlier that I'd put him in a red one so he'd go, and he did!

Morning all. Had a good night - bath, boob and bed and she settled straight away and slept for 5 hours, then about an hour feeding etc and back down for 3 :j

I'm meant to be going out to meet a friend today and it's a bit of a drive. Looking forward to it as I haven't seen this friend since I had LO. However, last poonami was saturday night, and I'm really worried I'm going to get the next one at some inconvenient point today.

We've got checks and probably first jabs on monday. I think I'll get some calpol in, thanks!

Hi bluebell. Happy anniversary to you too! Glad u had a nice meal. We had
our Caribbean meal takeaway, ttd black forest gateaux and watchedthe newest twilight. Dh got me a lovely card but nowt else. I don't mind toooo much about getting a thing or not, more miffed that he didn't make the effort to think of something..

Aw, sorry he didn't manage to get you something. My DH is bad with cards (if he does a card, it'll be one that I'd bought for our card stash :rotfl:) but he got me a download of a ska CD because it had 'cotton tree' on, which was quite inventive for a cotton anniversary!

Thanks to everyone who suggested weaning foods, they all sound nice and easy to grow. Our allotment papers are in the post for signing, very exciting! :D

On the subject of Jabs, for those who are yet to have their first jabs, based on my experience, i would highly recommend trying to get your Lo's to have an extra big feed before you go, as CJ would barely eat a thing for the rest of yesterday, and therefore was waking up constantly over night asking to be fed. Luckily she had an unusually monster feed before we went, or i reckon she would have been really unhappy!

Ooh, that's a good idea. Harry's got his first set of jabs next Friday. I imagine they sting like our flu jabs?

Is it really hard to watch?

Hmm. its not nice but its best to be chilled about it or they pick up on your vibes.. The are in sides of each thigh so Dress lo in something easy to pull up again after.. lots of poppers is not easy one handed with crying baba!

Edit- oh and on calpol, in the end the only way i could get some in, was squirting on my finger and putting it in her mouth a tiny bit at a time . Syringe and spoon she spat it all out.
