Before buying the maxi cosi seat and base unit check in a shop that you are able to work the release mechanism ok.
I had the pebble seat with the isofix base and really struggled with it as I found the release mechanism very awkward. I could not reach both sides comfortably at the same time which made the whole thing very dangerous. It was the same with the pram chasis to the extent that I couldnt use it. The first time I used it was when I went to collect a prescription from my local chemist and I could not release the car seat from the pram chasis and ended up having to ask a random stranger if they could please help :rotfl:
I know most people seem to love maxi cosi infant seats but I was really disappointed with it and regret buying it0 -

I'm not sure about with other bases but with the family-fix base there is a single point to release the seat and its at the front, I can see how it would be very awkward if there was one either side.0 -

The buttons break on lots of them quite frequently and are also a bit temperamental when supposedly working, as we were on our 3rd replacement by the time I had had enough and gave up with it completely. The grey discs near the handle also act as a release mechanism and we had been forced to use that method regularly to remove the seat. The shop we bought it from told us that they had had quite a few returned due to this so it wasnt just me being unlucky.0 -
The safety indicators were also less than reliable, it would go green despite the seat not being attached on both sides0

Looking forward to seeing a piccie of Ellie jenjade x
Crabapple- I agree! X
Dylan a naughty boy ! He gets too barky in the hour before mum comes to collect him, so it's outside he goes... He thinks if he barks at animals on the front lawn and then hides under the arm chair I can't get him lol! Trouble is its always the time when LO wants to sleep, although he is currently feeding and sleeping at the same time ! No sign of boob monster today...
Keep thinking about sainsburys brand match and whether I should try and use what little brain power I have to exploit that I don't have a tesco/asds close by... Mmm
Cossato highchair came yesterday want to have a peek though it would be a bit early to construct it...
Has anyone had first jabs with LO have got some calpol in case but not sure if will need it, also got to weigh him too, have never been to clinic before so decisions jabs first or weigh mmm they ate both scream starters aren't they!! I am very nervous about going there as apart from a few pram walks have not gone anywhere on my own with Scott for a time (10am-12pm) am normally not showered until 12 :eek:0 -
We've not done the jabs yet as he had a cold last week. I need to rebook sometime but will wait till he is totally better.
Lol, just thinking about the boob monster, it isn't a soap or something you use on those days that smells wrong to him? Could just be plain contrary though, we're having 'I'm starving, I'm starving... oh my god there's milk in there take it away' days.He stop starts all day, then settles down in the evening for hours at a time.
Is it sad that I'm rather liking my washable nappies? They're so sweet! I only used one Huggie yesterday.
