4nnabella- thanks and Amelia is gorgeous xx
don't blame u for abandoning baby group, sleep more important!
Mozzy- thanks, looking forward to piccy! Hope u get something for LO at the drs x
Jenjade- thanks and LO will get there with the weight x Scott lost a lot at the beggining and he's still under the 25 th centile but gaining steadily so hv left us alone. I am sure now LO is with you she will take more but try not to worry. Scott was 7lb 6 1/4 when born, lost 13% by day 5 and was 9lb at week six so he is a LO. Going to get weighed again Friday and I'm already stressing...
Ooh got to look up blw haven't a clue either !0 -
Very cute pictures, Scott and Amelia are lovely. I would post a picture here of Naomi but I don't know how to!
Bumps and babies was two bumps, the woman who co-ordinates the group, and baby (i.e. mine!). Was quite nice in a way though as one of the bump women was at the antenatal class we went to on Saturday so we'd already kind of met.
I did have my first experience of a walking, talking child who is still on the boob though! Solids too, but she was about 18 months and her mother is going to wait for her to decide when she wants to stop. I somehow doubt I will still be bf at that point. She'll have lots of teeth:eek::heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Well Flynn has been prescribed Lactofree formula and is being referred to the hospital dietician. Dr will give him something to help him poop once he is a month old
He is also on antibiotic eye drops now as his left eye has been watery/weepy since birth but has gone very green this morning
Lovely pics ladies, still havent got round to adding one of Flynn, will put it on my list of things to do this evening
Midwife came out just now and weighed him, and he is still the same weight on day 10 as he was on day 5, 8lb 11oz (8lb 15oz at birth) So she will be back out on friday to weigh again. Was supposed to be being discharged today too lol!

DD been quite good today with napping in her basket. I was bad earlier - she woke up and i couldn't settle her so picked her up and let her sleep a bit longer on me. She is asleep now, not going to let her sleep too long as its nearing evening/bedtime. Whats the latest you will let them sleep until near bedtime? I heard to make sure you wake them before two hours to bedtime0

What a determined b!gger I have! Earlier he pooed in the middle of his feed, so I duly changed the nappy and left him for a moment to see if he would start moaning for the rest. He used my legs as a launchpad, pushed himself to where his bottle was and tried to grab it.
Then just about 10 mins ago he was napping on the floor on "his" pillow. Next thing I know he's on his front trying to get to his toy about a foot away. He'll be crawling before I know it"Beautiful young people are accidents of nature, But beautiful old people are works of art."

Hi fluff :-) you shouldnt give babies cows milk until 1 year as they need extra nutrients to grow esp iron.
Gill rapley is the expert on blw, her book is really good ro :-) you need a high mess tolerance and to learn the difference between gagging and choking. Id recommend it to everyone!
Cant believe jacob is almost 9 months now! Ill be going back to work in june and he is still bf throughout the day. Am very lucky that the nans will be looking after him so my master plan is to leave him with them for longer periods till he is used to a whole day. Does anyone with older children have any pearls of wisdom for me? I have an image of me on my first day back at work in tears answering the phone!Currently studying for a Diploma - wish me luck

I prefer not to let L sleep after 4.30 for a 7pm bedtime but when he was newborn I would not let him sleep after 5.30pm. Some people tell me I'm a bit mean but we have never really had a problem putting him to bed at night.
Re BLW, we're doing it. Its hilarious to watch. L had tomato chicken with couscous today - cous cous was EVERYWHERE :rotfl:He sucked a piece of chicken to within an inch of its life and most of it went in. I am a bit worried about how quickly he has dropped milk though. He had 2 oz when he woke up, then another 2.5 at lunchtime, wouldn't take his afternoon bottle at all but was starving by bedtime so had a full 8oz. He will also have 6oz at his dreamfeed. I think tomorrow I won't offer him anything at lunchtime and then he might have more in the afternoon - does this sound OK?Leo James arrived 7 days late on 26th August 2011 by emergency CS :j Such a cheeky chappy now :T0
