Oh Kira you poor thing. I went 2 weeks over with my first 2 and it's not fair is it. Sending you lots of labour vibes xxx
PS Are you sure it's not a lazy boy??! My next door neighbour had her baby boy 4 weeks ago at 17 days late little monkey!!
Thank K. Well. it COULD be a boy- she has never performed for the camera at a scan, so all 5 scans, the best they could say was they thought it was a girl, but couldnt be sure. But she has been such a monkey wiggler, that people assure me its not a boy as they are too lazy to move that much. Last time i was at the gp, a couple were watching my belly doing a dance from across the other side of the waiting room and found it hilarious!
Question for any of you who have had inductions, did anyone have the hormone ribbon inserted, or were you all the gel? I've never heard of the ribbon till today, which they will place in for 24 hours, and only follow up with the gel if i still need more softening. Would be good if anyone knows anything or has experienced the ribbon who can share..Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I was induced with DS2 - had the pessary and then eventually waters broken. Ended up with emergency c-section though BUT have heard of lots of very successful inductions do don't be put off by that.
On the movement front, DS1 and DS3 didn't stop moving the whole time I was pregnant and are both very laid back. DS2 however hardly moved and has been on the go since he was born!! And my friend has had 2 girls - one was active, one not. Really hope they haven't got it wrong for you!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0 -
Thanks for the info. Am not too bothered about the pessary/gel side of things, would prefer natural contractions rather than the syntocinin (or whatever its called!!), but i'm really hoping to avoid having my waters broken manually. They usually send you home after the ribbon is inserted apparently, but because i'm under consultant care they will keep me in for the 24 hours that they leave it in. Quite happy about that, what with the hour+ drive to the hospital and back. Will take a good book and chill out.
If it is a boy, then its a boy. It will be a bit odd having spent so long thinking she, and will have a load of girls clothes to sell and replace, but most were second had anyway, so not a problem!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hello missymoo how the devil are you??! Kira I'm sure you're having a girl if you have been told that so many times!! They can't have got it wrong on all the scans. And if they have, they shouldn't be sonographers!Thank you to everyone for sharing competitions!0

LOL. Well, she hasnt been playing ball at the scans, so i have some sympathy with them not being willing to be more committed to a verdict! We have had alot of views of her back, upside down shots, crossed legs, closed legs you name it, none of this facing forwards, legs wide open for this LO!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!
