Sorry, another question! How long does the post birth bleeding last for? TMI ALERT!
It went brown, then almost stopped, now its back dark red and heavy. Could it be that I've been stressed with everythingover the past few days and spending a lot of time looking after Lo by myself?
Mine is like that, goes brown then can start up again. I notice this when I go shopping,or on my feet for a while. Told mw this and she said it means to take things a bit easier. As long as theres no clots x:happyloveBaby girl born 27/2/12:happylove

Morning. Just braved an NCT nearly new sale and got some very cute outfits in 3-6 months (she's only gone into 0-3 in the last week!) plus a couple of smaller ones which were just too lovely to leave there. Monsoon outfits for £1.50. Also got a gorgeous dress that she can wear to a couple of family weddings this summer.
This afternoon have our NCT reunion but by the sounds of things may only be 3 of the 5 couples which would be a shame. We've just met one of the couples that is going at the sale. We've all been asked to go into the end of the latest class to talk to them about our experiences so far - dunno what they will ask or what to say as yet, it could be interesting!:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

What's NCT?
We found a lovely coat in a sale in Store Twenty One todayreduced from £9.99 to £4.99 and then down to £2.99! Bargain! It's so big on Harry even though it's newborn, but his prem thing which acts as a coat is so tight on the legs - I might have to pad the legs out on his new coat so that he doesn't slip down. We don't want any accidents

Hi Ro! Busy doing the night shift haha!
How are you hun? How is Lo?
Just done his night feed. Tell you what, I have a strong minded 3wks baby boy on my hands. My friends have been round, and they can't believe how long he stays awake for during the day. I try every trick, but he fights the sleep. He's usually still awake 6hrs later without sleeping, or giving me a rest!
And winding him, oh my, he hates it. Starts crying and flinging his little head everywhere! Tried over shoulder, over knee, leaning forward....
He's going to be a lot of work haha x
Koala, no probs about the posts hun, I completely understand haha x
Hello MozzyI was still up feeding last night too! Bf then ff 2-4am then down for less than an hour and he was back awake again :0 hubby had to feed him after seven as I needed to recover as felt so tired last night. Scott is doing okay have had a letter about appointment at the hospital saying that we have a choice of where and which one to go to but actually the nearest hospital you don't you still have to wait for an appointment letter anyway had to phone them to find out amp obviously nervous about it.
Sounds like your little one is very alert we have been trying to get Scott to sleep by putting him in his pram with the head up and then gently moving the pram back and forth very slightly until gets bored and falls asleep! With winding I am rubbish at it but sometimes get him to when I holding against my big tummy
How are u feeling ?
Hello all will prob be on in the wee hours later

Well. Prepare for a monster post..
Koalamummy- thanks for asking about CJ's tongue tie. The first few feeds afterwards were quite ouchy with the extra suck power! She seems to be feeding a bit less often, and the biggest change is that she is regularly doing 6 hour stints at night, and even did a 7(!!!!!) last night.
Last night was a monster 7pm- till 9.30am, with 3am, 5.3am and 7am feeds. I felt pretty good in the morning!
I do have a question, every morning for about 5 days, LO has started grunting and crying in her sleep, gradually getting lounder and stronger, until she wakes her self up and cries full on till i get her up and feed her in the comfort position i have found. Its not at a specific time, but it is always about 1 1/2 -2 hours after the 2nd night feed, so between 4.00-5.30 am-ish.
I've been meticulous about burping her the last few days and give her gripe water to try and make sure its not wind pain.
Anyone else had similar happen, any ideas?
Today was a big day. The open day at the nursery we were thinking of taking CJ to when i go back to work, which is ideal so we could see if we wanted to book a place. We went down there to look around, and when we were there, we had a look at the baby room first, and the girl working there, asked if we wanted to leave CJ with her whilst we saw the rest. I was already feeling emotional just thinking about leaving her when i go back to work, but just keeping it together, so when they said to leave her with them, i couldn't hold back the tears any more.
She was fine for about 5 minutes, then they came to find us, as she was crying unconsolably. I felt awful for leaving her, horrible mummy!
We signed up for the nursery sharpish, as they seemed really nice and were offering a 10% discount for my company and no registration fee, and went home with a just about calm baby.
Got home and put her in her bouncy chair, and noticed her making some straining faces, and thought, ooh, parping. Took her upstairs to change nappy about 20mins later and found she had silently produced the mother of Poonami's. It was barely contained in the nappy! I felt alot better about the nursery crying then, as she was obviously working on getting it out and it was making her touchy. Not quite so evil a mummy after all. Really wasnt expecting a poonami so soon- only just 4 days, last one was a good 5 days, nearly 6.
CJ went down at about 7.30 tonight, after 90minutes of feeding, so hopefully we will get another good 6-7 hour stint. I'm thinking about trying to guess when the morning crying/grunting thing will start, and getting her up earlier to feed her, and see if that prevents it starting. Once it happens, i cant get her back into the crib to sleep, it is mummy tummy position or nowt.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Hello all and anyone on the night shift !
Crabapple- what bargains ! Would love to see piccies on here if when some special clothes are being posed in!
Lucy - well done on LO weight gain!
Kira - sounds like a stressful day for u but with a good outcome in that u have found a nursery u can trust to look after LO well. Must be hard thinking about it already but LO will get used to it bless. Re the crying in sleep recently Scott has started to do that and I keep getting up to see if feed time yet and he is asleep but gradually he wakes but does not usually grunt but just cries on and off until he wakes. Think he is uncomfortable with wet nappy and getting hungry etc
Still got a few post pregnancy niggles, back still playing up, ankles go up and down with a bit of swelling, I am mildly anaemic as have dropped to 10 so back on spatone (and decided will take some folic acid), being retested in a month, keep getting itchy so cream for that, have a fissure  where the sun does not shine :eek: so lactulose for that and am still changing dressings for the scald which is going to take a while to heal. Walked into the door yesterday (thankfully no injuries) bit my tongue!! Think am slowly falling apartSince having Scott never really took anything and since have never had so many medicines!
Still think its funny that hubby still gets most of Scott's  nappies, think he feels more comfortable on him !0 -
Hi!
Hi Ro! Shame hun, sounds like you're in the wars! Look after yourself and hope all those niggles fade away soon. I too have a fissure, and take lactulose. Not pleasant hey! But at least my stitches are healing. They were so so painful to start with. I reckon that's one thing that hindered my bf, because I couldn't sit down at first, was too painful. So OH had to ff.
Otherwise I'm doing ok. Still get a bit teary during the week when I'm here on my own, but just putting it down to stress. I don't think Charlie has got colic, but he is always crying and needs constant feeding, holding, rocking etc. Otherwise if I just put him down, he'll start screaming and crying. Very demanding! . xDFD February 2012

Kira - I know what you mean, I've got that now. But because I ff, been thinking of trying cow and gate comfort. A few people have said its better for baby's stomach, so might try that.
Well done on finding a nursery! We just got our confirmation letter yesterday that we got into our one, so happy with that! xDFD February 2012
