Jannine, my 6 week check was just as useless, if I'd known, I wouldn't have bothered booking it!

Tiredness does make you do funny things, I found a nappy in my wood basket earlier?! Where I was going with it and what distracted me I really don't know. :D

Getting baby to sleep in their own bed... I just go for persistence. I keep putting him in, and occasionally he stays asleep. Other times he grumbles a bit then pukes on the covers so I have to change it all. :D

We're on our... I think fifth outfit of the day? One wet, one pooed, can't remember what happened to the rest so I guess they were sicked on?

Oh, talking of tired, my other half keeps telling me how tired he is, and how much he's sleeping, oooh that annoys when I get maybe 2 or 3 hours at a time! :D He gets a full night every night and half the evening too :D

Thanks - no he's dropped from the 50th centile to under the 25th -this is since I've started weaning him. The HV isn't too worried she says he's just a very active baby - always rolling around and trying to crawl. In the last 3 weeks he's only put on 8 oz and I wondered if this was anything like OK? Not to worry - he seems happy enough.

Poppy has just dropped to just under the 25th centile , has always been just above. She actually lost weight between 9 and 10 months. They have told me the same that is likely its because she is very active.

I think after 6 months the weight gain tends to slow down a lot.

I agree as long as they seem happy they must be ok :).

Mine's the same. We've both got colds at the moment and my Mum keeps going on about "Aww poor Chris, I bet he's had no sleep and he's got to go to work all day and he's ill"... If looks could kill.... ¬.¬

I've had the predicted grumpy baby all afternoon :(

Judging by what Kira said, things might improve if we get poonami here... she's been storing it up since the last one on friday morning:eek:

It's quiet here right now as she is feeding but not likely to last.

Mention of mother's day on the last page - I mentioned to DH that we need to sort out bits for our mums. What are the chances of him thinking to get me something too?

Speaking of poonamis, I'm another one who's had it today. 3 bloody dirty nappies, all large, and half way through changing the 2nd one, he decided to go midway through. Trying to keep his legs out of it when he's kicking about like crazy isn't easy.

Even though he'd been going most days, they were small and like play doh (!! Tmi) so I don't know since switching his milk (hopefully to something that'l suit him better) has cleared him out, and like Kira's Cj, he's went straight to sleep on his own after it. He was proper cranky last night too, grunting and straining. Bless him.

Alison On my formula it says not to make the milk up if the kettle has been left for more than 30 minutes, and if I leave my water in the kettle until I'm ready to pour then it is still very warm after that and probably about 70, if not slightly more. It may vary from milk to milk though? As we've only used aptamil and now onto this hypo allergenic Nutramigen. I do make my bottles up in advance though :o or if going out for more than a few hours, take the flask, as I find the insulated bags, crap.

Crabapple- i wondered that about MD too. Dropped a none too subtle hint to dh that this would be the first MD when i would be a mummy. He replied i wonder if she will get you something.... hmmm

I know i'm getting a others Day card from the teen, as I bought a card for my mum weeks ago so I wouldn't forget, and they chucked another in the basket for me. :D Don't know about the other half though? He will be over that weekend, but may not even think of it? I was thinking the other day, when I had the first baby, a couple of people sent me flowers, this time all I got is baby stuff. :D A bit mean of me really, as we've had some extremely generous gifts, but I feel a bit, hey, what about me! Call me Cinderella, I just get all the hard work and the puke. :D And a gorgeous baby asleep on my tummy I guess. :)

We've had more regular poos since he's been off colour, still managed to leak one of them though!

My mum got me some perfume and face mask pack when LO was born :) obviously she got lots of baby stuff as well but she said I deserved something after all the hard work. I thought LO was my reward for all the hard work not perfume :rotfl:
