Yay for you Mozzy. Glad you got some sleep. It makes everything seem easier doesnt it!
I found swaddles worked really well when LO was newborn, and she loves her sleeping bags, but unfortunately we cant use them right now, as the reflux wedge sling has a bit that needs to fasten between her legs.
Lots of Poonami's going on right now! Cant believe Crabapple, that your LO had a Poonami right after CJ.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Oooh, oooh oooh!! CJ is upstairs asleep having a nap. Its a first. She was really overtired and grizzly, and wouldnt even feed. So i put her in her crib, and managed to rock her off to sleep from an eyes wide open grizzle. Its a first, as usually she has to be fairly calm and droopy eyes to go off.
I think we are making progress!
We also have our first play date this afternoon. Exciting! I'm ging over to one of my best mates house, to see her and her little boy who was born 5 weeks after CJ.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Thanks Ro. I couldn't believe what time it was when I got my glasses on and could see the clock!
Last few days she has slept most of the morning then been awake all afternoon. This morning she will not settle down. What is it with babies and having to make everything so difficult? Just thought I had the change in routine sussed!
Also can't believe that you did that walk Kira. I think it was 3 weeks before I really walked any distance and that did me in. My hips aren't too bad now but my knees are still not working. I thought I'd finished with having to push up off the sofa with arms as well once I'd had her, but apparently not! This is despite me having lost the baby weight and some (not quite sure how but not complaining!).:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

It had been brewing for some time!! Thankfully DH realised she had started so we managed to get it all into nappies while she was at it rather than her clothes taking the brunt.
I am really looking forward to using the sleeping bags, but she isn't quite big enough yet. All the ones we have are 0-6 months but say from 10lbs. I've tried one on her but she's just a little bit too dinky to be sure she couldn't squiggle down inside.:heartpuls Daughter born January 2012 :heartpuls Son born February 2014 :heartpuls

Ha! I've been stuck on the floor holding CJ before, and not able to get up. I'm just about able to get off the sofa now without pushing off.Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Speaking of poonami - I had one this morning haha. And it kept on coming, cue me frantically tearing at my huggies cotton sheets, wiping and putting under bum!! And must admit he looks his calmest when doing a poonami. Almost in bliss haha
:rotfl:Noah does that, just lies there looking at me. Hes probably actually watching me thinking 'look at my stupid mummy squeeling and running round like an idiot' :rotfl:
OH really cant stomach it and has never dealt with a nappy like that!Biggest Loser Weight Loss: 13 / 20 lb0 -
Hi Ladies,
Was just about to say morning, but then I realised its actually afternoon! Were does the time go?!!
Well after moaning yesterday about Poppy only sleeping for 2.5 hours a time, she had a bottle at 2.00am and didn't wake up until 7.00am for her next bottle, was fab having so much sleep but I did panic that she had gone so long without milk!
Has anybody else been experiencing major sick episodes? Poppy has started really being sick, normally about 10 minutes after a feed she has a little cough then sick just flies out, lots of it too! I fed her at 10.00am and she fell asleep so I put her on the sofa on a cushion next to me to sleep, 10 minutes later her whole feed must have come back up. Slightly worried about this, especially as she is so small and needs to be gaining weight. Seeing my HV tomorrow so will check with her.

hello everybody!
Jannine was just signing in to ask how you were getting on with the formula when I saw your post. What Poppy is experiencing sounds similar to what was happening with my girl. She was eventually diagnosed as being dairy intolerant in addition to having reflux. She was changed to a non cows milk formula which has worked wonders but I still have to keep her bolt upright for half an hour after she has finished feeding to help it stay down. It may be worth calling her consultant to discuss it.
Jenjade I hope everything is going well for Ellie.
Gilly hope your appointment went well
For the ladies who are finding their babies wake the minute they are put in their basket/crib I have found that if you put the blanket or sleeping bag that they will be sleeping in over them while you are cuddling them it heats up to their temperature and minimises the waking up when moved.0 -

I do alternative breast feeds and bottle feeds with the milk the Doctor prescribed (Infatrini). She has only just started to be sick after feeds (both bottle and breast) so I'm not sure if it is the milk or something else? She is already on 3 medications for reflux so I'm really not sure. I see the Consultant on Tuesday so will ask him. He did say the Infatrini isn't available if your baby is dairy intolerant so if she didn't react well to it I would have to see the dietician again and he would think of something else to try! I'm taking Poppy to be weighed in the morning so will see if its affecting her weight gain. I always start to feel nervous before she gets weighed, really hoping she's had a good gain this week - she certainly looks chunkier to me!
Can't believe its 3.30pm and I'm yet again not dressed! I bet my husband can't remember the last time he saw me in clothes! He goes to work at 6.00am and I'm in pj's, he comes home at 6.00pm and I'm usually still in pj's!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Afternoon all need to do some housework but posting first - priorities!!
Mozzy- well done on a good nite! Makes the evil ones more bearable !
Am listening to all the tips in case Scott starts being a pain!
Boob monster is back though!! Now have to put on muslin, see if takes boob if not try bottle then do a crafty switch
Crabapple - when u said about glasses I probably should have some of those but prefer a softer focus, makes the poonami more bearable
Been out with pram again for some fresh air, trying to undo all the chocolate I've been mainlining...
:EasterBun:EasterBun:EasterBun:EasterBun:shocked:
The lindt mini eggs have bit the dust!
Dylan sleeping, Scott sleeping bliss!
Those who have lost weight well done, I feel 6 months pregnant again:eek:
Jannine hope LO's sickness gets sorted. With me I have to sometimes have a shower and spend the whole time thinking he is screaming, sometimes he is and sometimes he isn't. I may get dressed but my hair quite often isn't brushed  my clothes don't match and I have redefined clean! It is improving though!
