Sort of been given a completely hypo allergenic milk, not neocate my hospital dont use that apparently but from looking online its newish and the exact same mould as neocate, just as expensive too  if we're still having problems we've to go back and get omeprazole. The frontier is never somewhere else. Hi koala mummy think it was Mozzy who wanted to know and am sure she appreciates your answer x0 -
Hope all you ladies and babies are well. I wanted tonask a question and I figured this would be the best place. Probably a ridiculous one but never mind. If you have an epidural in labour do you have to have a catheter?
Thanks to anyone who takes time to answer as I know you all have your hands full.DS1 born June 2000

I certainly did and believe it is required. Didn't feel a thing of it being put in. and actually find it great not to have to walk to loo post delivery !!Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

Thanks Kira. I thought I had read it somewhere.
I didn't have one with my DS but am considering it but that was worrying me. How long after delivery does it stay in for?DS1 born June 2000

I had one too. My hospital wouldnt allow you out of bed after the epidural is in so its neccessary. I had Aaron at 11.30pm and it was taken out 9am but probably would have been sooner if it wasnt the middle of the night. As soon as your epidural has worn off its taken out. Didnt feel a thing getting it inserted. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I'd mentioned being stiff etc, but hadn't really said on here how bad it could be at times....mainly because it'sgone by the time I'd log on here! I think I'm thrombocytopenic again, and I'm waiting to see doc on Tuesday about it and hips. It's low platelets, which I had during pregnancy and labour, and quite bad a few years ago....
In the mornings and evenings, I'm very stiff and sore- almost arthritic. I can't hold a pen first thing in the morning, let alone write. Stairs are the same as with SPD- one step at a time! I've general problems moving, and everything aches. I think it's Throm again as it feels similar- I feel so normal in the afternoons, and can do anything- exercise, climbing a mountain etc.... But later on in the evenings,DH has to help me off the sofa... I've been taking iron supplements for a few days now to try and help, and they seem to be working a little....
Other than that, nothing new here really. I've a snoring, farting baby lying beside me. She's a little monster now, laughs at us all the time now she's decided not to be afraid of her own laugh. She's started mimicing me occasionally- moving her mouth when we are eating.... and she gets really upset if you don't pay attention to her (no potential problems there then!).

Thank you, she's not sedated and is hoping to come home for her last few days. The council were round yesterday doing some work to get her house ready for her, so fingers crossed that she gets her wish and we'll see her very soon.
Lirin, hope all goes well for you at the doctors next week and they get your stiffness sorted out.
We're going to apply for an allotment today, apparently there are some spaces in the local one and we'd been wondering how we'd find space to plant 50 seed potatoes... I temporarily shocked one of my friends by posting about our bean growing. She thought I was pregnant again until she realised it was seeds...0
