Ooooh feel like a 1950's housewife excited at the prospect of hubby coming home but I am not glamorous enough, the house is still a tip and nothing cooking for t. Don't think I will ever reach those dizzy heights but it was a nice thought.. How the heck (my mother is yorshire born and bred, don't get confused I am a southerner ..) they did it back then god knows... I know it was shoving the pram in the garden with the screamer fully contained.... Now what we having for t...

OH loves having LO plonked on him when he gets home from work. He sits there asking about his day and what baby groups hes been to :rotfl:, its really sweet because LO is at an age now where he gives his daddy lots of big smiles as soon as he walks in from work.

Sounds like a lovely LO x and daddy ;) I am just enjoying the weird noises he makes to hubby and funny smiles at inappropriate times lol

That sounds just like my house! I was starting to get into a routine of doing a bit of housework a day until she started on this not sleeping most of the day lark.

DH is home, baby handed over. However, she is complaining at him, not making cute noises!

Jen those pics of Ellie are so sweet! She's lovely :)

I took Harry out for our first proper walk on our own today! Only down the doctors (about a 30 minute walk) and then to my Nan's which is just round the corner from the docs. And on the way back we popped in the place I used to work so everyone could meet him. It went well! Although now that Harry is getting bigger I might be able to buy him a normal sized coat so that his hands can stay warm. He was 8 weeks prem so is teeny tiny and they don't sell prem coats (to my knowledge), and all his mits fall off, and even socks on his hands don't work. He just won't keep them tucked under his blankets.

Some of the paths are hard to navigate though - I was walking on a very busy road and all of a sudden the path got so small that the pram didn't fit on it - I had to hitch it up and walk with it until the wheel found the pavement again. All in all a nice day :) although I'm not sure Harry liked his heel !!!!!.

DH is in favour these days! He had a training day today- Rose vomited on the clothing he was planning to wear last night. He got treated to a poo-nami this morning (know that was someone on here uses that term, DH likes it so we've nicked it. Ta.), after the poo-nami he held her up and was treated to a well-aimed spray of vomit in his mouth and down the second set of clothes......

He's just changed her after feeling a wetness.... which turned out to be another explosive poo-nami.... :) And a new top for daddy.

I'm on more stuff again now as my bloods came back low- just a fraction higher than after the labour- and it's affecting her through the breastmilk, but she should settle down.... so not worried! Just glad it isn't me getting the nasty bits!

ROFL- she's laughing outright at him.

I was singing to her the night before last and we got treated to out first proper long laugh!

I have a similar problem, it's always me that gets puked on! Today I thought i'd been so clever and caught a huge sick in a handy muslin without getting a spot on his outfit, only for him to do it again halfway up the stairs to get a fresh cloth. :D Just before we went out too! I was also sat feeding earlier when I felt a sudden warm rush on my leg, and he'd somehow got wee all over my jeans and socks. :D

Took him to the hospital this afternoon for an ultrasound, and the lady that did it was the one who did my very first scan when he was barely a smudge, lovely! :)

We're also having a non sleeping stage, as he doesn't feel too well and keeps waking up. I ended up holding him for a couple of hours in the night/early morning so he slept. Can't decide if it is a cold or allergies, as he keeps getting red eyes, and then they go again. We also have sneezing and coughing (sometimes making him sick) and general grumpiness.

Oh, I have some lovely pics of my other half and baby smiling at each other, it's soooo sweet! I find no-one ever takes any pics of me with him though, and if they did, I'm generally covered in sick and have nothing nice to wear! :D

Hey all, Ellie is out of intensive care and back on the ward however she seems to be in some pain. I think they scratched her throat as it seems sore. Nagging for pain relief now. Poor baby

Sorry to say it but does depend on your little one. Is he following a line in the red book? Poppy is quite a small one and tends to gain less than a lb a month. She probably was gaining aorund 3oz's week at that age. Just found a thing online that says the avergae is between 3-5.5oz's a week at 6 months.

Jen - poor Ellie , hope she gets some pain relief to feel better. So lovely to hear she has been moved to the ward though.
