Just thought I'd come and have a complain about how tired I am. Went to a car club meet last night. Elliot was great, slept through the whole thing, then woke every 1-2 hours once we'd put him to bed. It was a late night for us anyway so that didn't help! I came downstairs this morning just in time to see DH putting the roll of clingfilm in the fridge after making his sandwiches... It was good to see everyone at the club though :)

HV weighed Elliot yesterday and he's up to 11lb 3oz, so has gained almost 4 1/2 lb in 6 weeks, which she was really happy with. We accidentally put him in a 3-6 month vest yesterday and it was really not too bad a fit...

Morning all how are we? Jacob was supposed to have his 2nd lot of injections today (we are very behind!!) but is full of cold so the nurse didn't want him to have them. Can't believe where the time is going - he's over 4 months old already!

Thanks toniq for the links xx

    Hello all :j
Having bf nightmare since yesterday, am comb feeding usually bf before bottle all feeds except between 7:30pm and first early morning food call usually 1:30 am ish.( Hubby does bottle)He is occasionally fussy and have just given bottle but it seems he is wanting the easy option and screaming at boob. Persevered this morning but still ended up giving him bottle, if he is not super hungry he seems to take boob but wondering if he is is maybe having a growth spurt but it probably is him being naughty as caught him out this afternoon. He always gets a towel or muslin put on him and then given bottle. However gave him b instead!! He sucked admittedly not for ages but shows he is being a

Anyone combination feeding and have a screamy monster who won't take boob at times?

On the plus side been out with pram and Dylan for first time, he is good for pulling up hills :D

Ro, I keep meaning to find those cleaning fairies but somehow never have the time. Yesterday had promised DH I would make a casserole for tea. Started at 2, finished at about 6 as little madam decided she wanted to be entertained instead of me chopping veggies! Got nowhere near the pile of washing up.

It might well be growth spurt - I'm not combi feeding but she has gone through phases of wanting feed all the time even though when she gets on to boob she will be there for two minutes faffing about then decide against it, then a few minutes later she is after it again. Also, when she gets upset and proper screaming it can take ages for her to settle down enough to feed at all.

I'm also shattered. Baby slept pretty well but for some reason I was wide awake after settling her at 1am and couldn't get to sleep until nearly 2. Given how little sleep I get, I was really annoyed! She then woke for another feed at 3.30...

It didn't help that one of the cats has worked out how to break into our bedroom. We've been shutting them out from before she was born just to be on the safe side, but as we have a thick carpet in there we've just pushed the door to just open a crack and it's been fine. He's managed to discover he can push with his paws and it is enough to get the door open, so unless I remember to shut it fully he's in. Can't remember what time that happened last night but I had to sort it out as DH was busy snoring and hadn't noticed. No interest in the baby when he has done it, but has managed to wreck a large cardboard bag we had christmas presents in!

LO is grizzling - she has in the last few days decided that sleep is for wimps and is refusing to nap in the afternoons, making her tired, clingy and very grumpy as a result. I am so not looking forward to another afternoon of that.

Also why does he root for boob on my chest then look horrified when I get my nip out?! Looks like its going to be faffing with Muslins to make it look like he's getting a bottle it seems to work but intermittently have to sneak boob up to him, honestly feel like in the boob monster and it's scaring him:eek:

Ha! Definitely not lost mine, she's either been screaming the place down or attached to a boob all afternoon. I thought I'd got her to sleep once but it only lasted 10 mins.

Thankfully it's nearly time for DH to get home, and he can deal with it for a couple of hours! I'm so glad he finds having her after work de-stresses him. Works for me too :)

OH loves having LO plonked on him when he gets home from work. He sits there asking about his day and what baby groups hes been to :rotfl:, its really sweet because LO is at an age now where he gives his daddy lots of big smiles as soon as he walks in from work.
