  • Sequeena - Glad Thomas is doing well after everything he's been through!

4nabella - Hopefully that's the start of things to come. Jack was like that from about 6 weeks, now he sleeps from between 9 and 10 (sometimes he amuses himself in his crib before falling over), and is up between half 6 and half 7.

Kira, I've been driving round since week one, but I still find it stressful! :D It's the not being able to see what he's doing. On the three hour journeys I insist on having the lanky teen to tell me what's happening. :D
Have you not got one of those mirrors you attach to the head rest of the rear seat? They are great for a bit of peace of mind. I hated not being able to see DD in the car.

Hi Sequeena it is lovely to see you again. :D Also brilliant that your little guy is coping so well despite everything he has had to overcome :) A truly inspirational boy.

After taking big boy to his outpatients appointment this morning it has become apparent that I need to get a new car seat for my daughter today as current one is dangerous for her. Problem is that I still have no clue what I need to get!

Stupidly put on a white top this morning. However after tring to feed baby girl sweet potato and butternut squash it has gone a strange orangey brown colour, as has some of the grout in the kitchen and it doesnt seem to be cleaning off! :rotfl:
  • ok hopefully this works. jenny asked me to post a pic from the facebook group of ellie and her new dolly from the mse girls. x

  • Carmilla I found that there was no definitive answer as to when you can drive. I spoke to my insurance company (Tesco) who said as long ad my GP said it was ok. I spoke to my GP who said as long as my insurance company said it was ok. So I rang insurance back and they advised checking with the DVLA who said as long as you can d an emergency stop, and look over your left shoulder to perform manouvres (sp?) then it was ok. I started driving again 4 weeks post-section.

I was given one of those the other day... but my car seat is actually in the front (airbag off) because it is a very tight squeeze to fit in, and because the pram chassis is sometimes in the back and I worry about it sliding over. Even though he's next to me, I still can't see him easily because of the handle of the seat though, unless I take my eyes off the road for far too long.

Another poo-splosion today! I think that means no more size 2 nappies, and I still have a pack left over I was going to use up. I'm running out of shops I haven't swapped in! :D Those whose babies poo every day, do you get normal ones, or do you have poo-splosions too? :D

Only two where it's come out of the nappy so far... both times when the size 1s were starting to get a bit small but we thought we'd finish the pack anyway. Now Elliot's on size 2 and - touch wood - that's been much better so far!
  • Is anyone planning on getting their babies christened? DH would quite like to but said it's up to me. I was never christened as my parents thought I should make up my own mind what I believed when I was old enough to decide. I'm finding it really difficult to make a decision on this one!

I can't believe we're out of size 2s already! At least today's explosion is near the end of a pack, rather than after I started the next one. :D

Just finally registered the warranty on my pram, on hold for ages but instead of musak, Silvercross give you Yorkshire news and weather. :D
