Oh dear Jen, I'm not surprised you're annoyed! On the bright side, they must feel she is strong enough to wait, which is good in a way?

I feel your pain - since she was 4 days old right up til this weekend my LO has only gone a minimum of every 4 days and usually 7! We call it the "poo-nami"!! However, she is 6 months this week and we started weaning last week so for the first time ever she has become regular - 4 in 4 days so far! I use washable nappies and they actually contain the poo very well, have never had a poo leak into her clothes actually, even with the most catastrophic of nappies. However the clean up job is tricky, it's a real job to get her cleaned up without her getting her feet in it and then it gets smeared everywhere!

I got some from H&M - they were nice but they aren't sticking the pace terribly well, getting quite out of shape and faded. However I'm now a new convert to the "pull up-push down" method - get stocked up on cheap primark vests, they are super stretchy and are only £2 or £3. There are heaps of colours. You can wear any top so long as it has enough give in it to pull up above your boob. You pull the vest underneath down below your boob so your belly is still covered. Modesty intact and if you have a vest of a colour that generally matches your top it's hardly noticeable at all - especially if you are sat in a cafe or anything with a table in front of you. You can just buy normal fashionable tops which you can carry on wearing after you've stopped feeding.

Oh my, the 3 day poo is bad enough, I can't imagine a 7 day one! My little angel has just started adding to the fun by trying to get hands as well as feet into it. :D I must get the rest of my reusables in the wash, they've rather got bumped to the bottom of the queue. What sort do you have that can withstand the Poonami?! I've got 5 Totsbots, and 10 cheap Ebay ones. If they work out ok, i'll probably get 10 more Ebay ones.

I was considering cutting some holes in cheap vests. :D But that does sound easier.

Baby's had a miserable day today, could only sleep when feeding, and waking up crying within minutes. He's usually grumpy on poo day, but not that grumpy! So i've spent all evening feeding him rather than look at his sad little face.

We sure are :) plus we all seem to love coo-ing over other ladies babies :)

I've always got my phone out snapping away, had to turn the flash off, I think I was damaging his eyes :rotfl:

I actually bought a new camera just to put in my changing bag, after Mum showed me hers and I realised it took pictures with realistic colours even without the flash. It has a discreet mode which is no flash and no loud shutter sounds, great for babies (or stalking I guess?!) :D

Hi Ro, bless you for thinking of me! I'm good thanks, we're all doing ok here. We had our first really good night's sleep last night, Amelia actually fell asleep in her moses basket rather than on me, and she slept from 11pm through to 7am, waking for a feed at 2am and 4.30am and both times going straight back down and falling asleep again! I'm hoping that the combination of Ewan the dream sheep, a sleeping bag and a dummy to help her sooth herself to sleep is the answer!

We're off to our first playgroup this morning as well! It's not too far from our house but unfortunately it's up a big hill that I'm not looking forward to climbing but at least it's exercise!

Amelia's got her 6 week review on Monday. I keep meaning to make a doctor's appointment for mine.

mozzy - you can take LO to the supermarket. The injections are for things like Diptheria, hopefully he won't run the risk of catching anything like that at Tesco :)

Sounds like the sleeping is doing really well, what does a Ewan dream sheep do?! Scott stays downstairs with oh and he does last feed around 10:30 depending on when he is awake, i get sleep fron 9pm, generally around 2am Scott wakes for a feed so bf then bottle ff then after hour or two down again and pot luck as to when he wakes can be after an hour or three!

Hope the play group went well
6 wk check we have mine and Scott's Friday together at same time we have half hour appt hubby coming with us as he is off

Hello ok so far but it is stiff to fold as new, wheels have only stuck once on a weird shop floor but very happy for the money! Jury will be out on wheels to see how they cope when Scott is heavier

Ewan plays white noise, to help them sleep. Tonight seems to be going as well as last night, she's fallen asleep on her own in the basket. She just woke at 3.30 for a feed but is drifting off again now.I was a bit late putting her down tonight though as I dozed off on the sofa and OH had her and didn't want to wake me! I need to get more organised and have her in her jammies and sleeping bag from about 8pm as she actually falls asleep around then for a couple of hours, then wakes for a feed 10-11ish. That's when I've been putting her down and going to bed myself.

Playgroup was good. A friend of mine, who has a 6 month old, was there and she introduced me to some other mummies she's met since going and everyone seemed nice and friendly. The last half an hour was spent sat in a circle singing songs, and Amelia fell asleep by the end of the first one! She was so well behaved though, she just took it all in and stared at the lights mainly! :D I might try another one on Thursday or Friday, it's nice to get out of the house!

The doctor's surgery rang me earlier to get a few details to register Amelia with them so I asked about my six week check. She said they do it at eight weeks as they tie it in with baby's first jabs and do it all in one go, so I don't need to do anything just yet. I'm due a smear test too, so they're going to do that at the same time.

    Right, back to sleep! Xx
