welcome corncob. How old is your little one? What size nappies are you looking to get? I am the queen of cheap nappies!! Do you have a preferred brand?

Have you tried searching on ebay. make sure you look for nearest first so you can collect as postage would make it a bad deal. some people sell packets they havent used. Also you can buy money off vouchers for nappies on ebay

Hi, my little one is 4 weeks. She's still in size 1 nappies as she was a very petite 6lb born. We've just been using pampers at the mo with the numerous coupons that you get. I had never thought of trying ebay, that's a fab idea, thanks!

Hello all! Welcome to all the new ladies. Jacob slept 10.30-7.30 again yey!! Pity his brother can't sleep all night without getting up and wandering about! Had health visitor today. My little chubby chubster at 10 weeks weighs 14lb 8oz!!!! What a porker. Suppose he had a head start on most babies though. Had to do the post natal questionnaire too - what a load of old tosh. It really depends on how you are feeling at that particular point in time

I had to do one of those questionaires with the midwife the week b4 xmas, what a joke! I scored dead on what ur supposed to go see a dr! I said to her, its the week b4 xmas, and we r still dealing with all the carp from DH brother dying a few weeks b4! Not like its a normal pregnancy experience! xx

Hiya Corncob. Congrats on your little girl!
If you really want to save money longterm, you should consider washable nappies. There are some good deals on mothercare at the moment and when finished you can get a good price on Ebay for them.
Also, some of the English councils give you vouchers or grants towards them. If interested, try websites like https://www.thenappylady.co.uk for more info. :D

mmm think it only works out value for money if you go onto have more than 1 child really, if you facter in the costs of the nappys and extras you have to buy then the detergent, water and electric costs. (and time)
if you buy your disposables with the vouchers and biuk orders and glitches etc you get pretty good deals, and potty train asap lol.

im not advocating either way though, each to thier own.

im thinking i may take samuel to the doctors tommorrow just to get them to listen to his chest, im not happy about the way this cough is going bless him.

I'm another real nappy fan. Makes no sense really as I didn't use them at all with ds1 and very little with ds2 but a friend gave me some newborn size just before dd came along so I tried them out once out of hospital and found them much better for dd's skin than any sort of disposable which seemed to always give her terrible nappy rash. They got me through to 6 months and I then bought a new lot of bargain fitted nappies for around 80 quid and got a 30 quid subsidy from the local council :jso all in all I'm doing quite well on saving money. I still get disposables though for out and about etc but only when on offer - Sainsburys regularly do a baby event and have one third off ( as do tescos) and just before xmas they were doing the 9.98 packs on bogof so that was a real bargain.

I'm with you mirror. Fed Daniel 8oz at 11pm in the hope of getting him through the night. He lasted til 4am when he took another 8oz. About to try him with the baby rice. Really want to get more sleep!!!
Welcome tsstss well done on expressing for three months and getting back to bf. That must have been hard work!
Wonder Womble being covered in sick is a daily event. It's worse when you get to the stage where you don't even notice it and someone has to point it out!!!! Hope that helpline is beneficial.
Congrats Laura on V day. How exciting!

Alison loooking back now I'm not sure it wasn't all a sleep deprived illusion lol. I felt like I was in training for the sas even getting up at 3/4 am to express - it was mad - everyone was telling me to give up but I couldn't. I even expressed 8 times a day when we went on holiday (in the car , on the beach lol) I just told myself I would carry on till 4mths and then take it from there. I found a group on facebook where people express either out of neccessity or choice for up to a YEAR and couldn't imagine how they could possibly do it = it takes over your life in the early days and dominates it still once established. I'm just sooooo glad my dd finally decided to feed as it made life suddenly really easy.

Wonder Womnle - I cried quite a lot in the first few weeks, was very hard with the constant feeding etc and no sleep but it got easier and I felt better. I wouldn't worry too much at the min but if it is still bad in a few weeks have a word with your gp/hv.

Tsstss - i started weaning Poppy with purees etc but she doesn't really like eating off a spoon so we do a lot of finger foods. She doesn't eat much but does enjoy herself and seems to be getting the hang of it more now.

DD doesn't seem to be eating much yet either but she does have lots of lumps in her nappy so I know its going in there :). After one month she seems to be getting the hang off eating from a surface now as before I was having to hand the food to her for it to go anywhere near a mouth.

Baby latest - DD is teething and thinks my nipples are a teether she not only bites but also pulls as she does so = ooooouch is not the word. Not only that but she then says ouch and looks cute and smily after so I cant feel angry for even a second lol.

Have had to throw away primark long sleeve vests as sleeves are soo long DD keeps getting them wet with slobber....does anyone have a tip for somewhere to buy long sleeve vests with reasonable arm length? I had some baby gap hand me downs before and they were a perfect length but they've been outgrown. May just have to go there I guess but its an awful shop for me with my tank of a pushchair. At the mo town is mostly off limits and I've been doing all my shopping in supermarkets..however they all seem to cater for long slender babies and unfortunately like me dd is dumpy with short arms and legs :D.

have you any baby gap outlet stores near you, our one is massive and you can easily wheel a pushchair around and even though its reduced i get regular emails with further reductions. i know when i first looked online for the outlet store they had a voucher you could print off for first time use for i think an extra 15% of
