That's what this place is here for KM
Thanks for asking after me. Seems i had a 4day norovirus tailed off yesterday at last. Managed to keep 100% bf throughout which was hard cos wasn't able to really eat or drink much. Unfortunately, LO started what i think is a growth spurt yesterday, and fed literally non stop from 3pm refusing to do more than cat nap on my lap for 10mins and grizzling with over tiredness till she finally dropped off at 1am. She is asleep now, been down 4.5hrs. I don't usually let her go more than 4hrs without a feed due to our feeding scare with her in back in hospital, but she had so little sleep yesterday i am thinking to let her sleep till she wakes naturally. She was weeing loads yesterday so well hydrated. Do you think that will be ok!?(4 weeks old and 11lb ish)Married 13/03/10 #1 DD born 13/01/12!!

I'm breastfeeding Poppy but I know the hospital recommend NUK teats , I think these are only available from Boots. Another lady I know on the SCBU bought Tommee Tippe bottles and the Nurses said they cause terrible wind and colic. I'm not an expert as I've never used a bottle, but that's what I've heard!
My LO will only take NUK latex teats. We had bought Tommee Tippee before she was born and she wouldn't take them. We have tried Dr Browns, which every time she drank from it she vomited profusely afterwards. Avent, she couldn't get a good latch on and ended up with milk every where but in her mouth. She doesn't like the NUK silicone teats either, so we buy the bottles at Boots (which have silicone teats) and order the latex teats online. The latex are much softer. We have spent a small fortune on bottles and teats. Oh and a new steriliser as the one I had wouldn't fit the larger NUK bottles, but at least we have a system that works for LO0 -

Koalamummy, stop beating yourself up because you made a positive out of a negative. It's how you cope! That's great news about your daughter. I really hope your son is alright, will be thinking about you. Good luck for today.0 -
Thinking about you Koala, hope everything ok.
On the subject of bottles my lo was on tomee t bottles and then decided she no longer liked them and so am now using breastflow ones which are fab as it mimics being on the breast which is comforting and means they dont gulp as much.0 -
