Ro - Don't do anything special for the HV. She will weigh and measure the LO and mark it in your red book. She will also check LO hips and do the heel !!!!! test if not already been done. Mine also asked a lot how I was doing etc which just made me cry at the time as i was struggling with BF and hubby at work etc! She advised me not to do any housework and rest :D

I'm also completly addicted to chocolate, when i go out i have to buy a bar of dairy milk. I buy a big bar and eat it all :o

Just realised ive been censored, forgot that was a naughty word!!!

Mine knocked on the door just as I was stuffing a flapjack in my mouth and told me she was pleased to see I was eating:)

It was basically a chat about how we were getting on with everything, and giving details about the local clinics and contacts etc. And she did it all happily despite being surrounded by cats so I wouldn't worry too much about Dylan. She did ask how we were dealing with lo but not at all judgmental about them. Might depend on the person though.

Just had a good weekend and nice sleeps overall, although did have issues with DH friday night as I was so looking forward to help as he didn't have work for two days and he lasted until about 1am then got very annoyed about being tired and headed off to the sofa. He got the silent treatment in the morning until I calmed down enough to explain to him why I was so upset about it. Doesn't help that he's always been a grumpy guts when he's tired.

I keep thinking we have got through all the introduction visits to family and friends, but there are yet more booked for the coming weekend. We've got to run out of people that she needs to meet at some point soon...

One thing I was wondering, if anyone has the same thing - I cannot bear DH kissing me when little one is latched on. I'm talking pecks, not full on snogging! Had to ask him to stay away, and then the other day my mother tried to give me a goodbye kiss (on the cheek) and I flinched away from her. I have no idea why I have that reaction.

    Thanks guys for advice

Emily I have multi packs of smaller dairy milk and four finger kitkats and the little elves come and eat them all at night

4nnabella I have a big chocolate cake that is calling me.....

Crabapple I have been a bit snappy with oh one early morning and kind of left him to it but felt guilty afterwards! Mine was grumpy this morning but it was fully justified. So sympathies!

    Kira big hugs x

Well me and OH came to an informed decision. we're giving Aaron 2oz of EBM and then 3oz of formula at every feed and he is guzzling that down, sometimes he wants more  will try this for a few days and see how we get on. LO has been sleeping since half 8 and is only starting to stir now, amazing.

Sorry to hear you're feeling grotty, get well soon x

I had diarrhoea and stomach cramps after every meal yesterday, and during last night, which was horrid. DH kept asking me to do the night-time nappy changes, I think he finally got the message when I ran off to the loo instead. I'm doing much better today though, and I've decided to keep off the iron tablets today just in case that was upsetting things.

Had local kids throwing snowballs at our house yesterday, until DH went out and shouted at them. Grr. Hopefully Elliot will be better behaved when he's older...

Kira sorry to hearyou're not well- hope you get better soon.

Ro, if you can die from overeating chocolate, it'll take an awful lot- I have a Thornton's seconds shop near me..... :)

Gilly, hope you get on better, just saw your post. I found when I breastfed Rose she wanted fedall the time- I remember one morning staying on the sofa for 4-5 hours just switching from side to side, and feeling like a horrible wife/mum as I couldn't do a thing! DH would come back from work and I would feel as if I had done nothing, while he'd reassure me I was doing ok...
Rose seems to settle easiest when each bottle is half formula and half breast. Originally used ordinary formula during day, and extra hungry at night- it's all extra hungry now. On ordinary she isn't satisfied.... Plus, she feeds longer but less, so I get a chance to do things.
Means we're both less stressed, and she's doing well- HV has weighed her at 12lb 6oz today, which sounds so heavy!
She has a rash all over at the moment, so I've booked her in with doc later on. Not terribly worried- think it's just a heat rash. She's a little tetchy, but seems otherwise okay.
  • Hi ladies - So sorry i have been missing in action, Amy is fine - growing nicely. I'm taking her off breast milk today as its just not filling her. DD1 is being a little cow just recently and she is using excuses she knows will upset me. Me and OH - I wouldnt know where to start.

    Hope you are all ok
