Thanks for all the good wishes, don't think she did have a tummy bug after all, the smell was obviously the gripe water and the gaviscon have obviously thickened it a bit  TMI sorry haha
I do find most of my conversations in real life are now centered around poo and sick! :rotfl::rotfl:
The Gaviscon seems to works some times and not others - plus since she had her explosive nappies yesterday she hasn't been sick once after a feed nor has had any gaviscon, I wonder if she just gets a bit blocked up so there is literally no more room for milk and then sicks it back up?! who knows, we'll keep an eye on whats going on though.
She is still taking a while to settle down after a feed in the night, thought we'd cracked that but apparently notShe does get trapped trumpy wind which apart from rubbing her tummy I'm not sure what else to do to make her more comfortable - any suggestions? The Dr said Infacol but I've read its only for burpy wind. She does seem to be winding a little bit better during feeds now I think we've mastered the way she needs to be winded, I was rubbing her back whereas she needs a good strong pat on the back to get it up I think. Also find if I cuddle her into me it seems to squeeze the wind out of her tummy, strange technique but I'll go with anything! Though I am wondering if the struggling with wind is because I'm back on antibiotics, I've noticed my tummy rumbling more and wondered if it might affect her?! Who knows.
Thanks for all your help with everything it is invaluable.
fluff - freddie is SO cute!!!
candlewax - I had a c-section so can't help much but in our area we have post natal physiotherapists who might be able to help you we can just drop into their sessions- perhaps your midwife or GP could refer you to someone?
On a different note - any one got any good recommendations of projectors of light/images? I saw the Tomy DreamShow which seemed to have good reviews - she absolutely loves watching shadows on the wall so thought we'd get her a light projector or something similar (was looking for a disco light which throws colours around the room - suitable for babies though rather than discos! but can't seem to find one). Looking to spend around £20 max really.0 -
oh here im again, trying to resolve a problem with dd, shes such a cranky baby, my oh calls her the moaner, nothing settles her, only bf then still pulls away and cry often... hiccups many times during the day, does not sleep during the day, hates being in her back. at night, wants to feed all night long and makes noises like she is going to vomit but she cant, like she can not breath.
oh has said something is wrong with her, i keep saying, shes a baby and this is the way there are, but she is so unsettle, i thought it was wind, colic etc.. but i think there is more, she pooes after every feed.
silet reflux ? i will take her to see the dr on tuesday.Mejor morir de pie que vivir toda una vida de rodillas.0 -
maybe she is allergic to the milk morocha? has she always pooed after every feed? Is she gaining weight well? All of those symptoms sound like reflux to me. Gilly's little one was allergic to the milk protein I think maybe she can help? I'm not sure if pooing after every feed is normal or not? I guess if its normal for your baby then that's fine but to me it sounds like she is intolerant of something, like IBS in adults if they eat something they can't tolerate they have bad tummies?0

Morocha quickly as I'm just sorting monsters dinner but if I was you start with any obvious allergens dairy/gluten etc and eliminate from your diet if breast feeding. Id start with dairy and soya, even after 2 or 3 days you would see a difference if there was an intolerance there. Milks like oat, almond and hazelnut milk will all be ok. Biggest sympathys. It could be as simple as reflux but at least that way Youl know xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Are you eating anything with hidden dairy, or things like cheese? Chocolate, bread, yogurts, a lot of things have dairy in them even stuff you wouldn't imagine. If its gluten things like pasta, pastries, pizza.
I'd definitely go to the doctors and ask about silent reflux, in our situation the intolerance was the cause of the reflux and once we had that nailed no more reflux at all. XThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0
