Hi sunshine, is Aiden all recovered after his trip to hospital now? Hope so.
Moneypenny hope LO is better now after the possible tummy bug? We've been so lucky with George's health so far, had half a day of sniffles and sneezes the other week, and bit of a temp after jabs but that's it. Hope he's not saving it all up to hit us with a bad one!
Raining here, although still tempted to wrap him up and stick him in the backpack. Its got a rain cover that actually looks quite cosy. Plus I really need chocolate.Newborn thread member

Hi, bit of a personal question so sorry if TMI, but our baby was born 3 weeks ago and I still feel like I am leaking urine when moving around. Not a huge mount but enough to concern me. Still wearing pads as still bleeding a bit too. Is this normal 3 weeks after the birth? I am doing pelvic floor exercises often.0

We are painting it 'Egyptian cotton' it's like a grey/beige. I like walk paper but after spending 10 days stripping the lining paper with 2 layers of paint that was already in the walls DP said no!
we have got a black/grey sofa with scatter back cushions and grey dining chairs with big black flower outlines so hopefully should match!
It's been hard without a lounge as Noah can't really play on the floorbe worth it in the end though.
How's work sunshine?

Hi, bit of a personal question so sorry if TMI, but our baby was born 3 weeks ago and I still feel like I am leaking urine when moving around. Not a huge mount but enough to concern me. Still wearing pads as still bleeding a bit too. Is this normal 3 weeks after the birth? I am doing pelvic floor exercises often.
The bleeding's normal and so is feeling a bit 'slack' down there! I assume you had a vaginal delivery, in which case your pelvic floor muscles have really been put to the test. Keep doing the exercises and things will definitely improve.
At my pilates class we're encouraged to do two different types - holding the muscles up for as long as possible and 'pulsing' them as well, i.e. tense, relax, tense, relax.
When you're out and about (if you're venturing out yet) when you're pushing the pram, hold up your pelvic floor, squeeze, squeeze, squeeze and do this for as long as possible. Then relax. Also do it whilst you're feeding your baby, bottle or breast. Take time to tense and relax in sets of ten every so often too. This is important for things like coughing and sneezing.
If you don't see an improvement in the next few weeks, it might be worth mentioning it at your six week check. Even so, I suspect the GP will just say to keep doing the exercises. It can take months and months for things to get back to normal."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0 -
