  • That's totally how it looks! I will mention it next clinic visit, I know I had the same myself and the docs in Germany taped it up but it did no good. Went eventually though as you say.

I realise this wont help any but my now 4.5 year old son who was delivered at 32 weeks had one which was his biggest feature for several months as the rest of him was so tiny. Now his belly button is neither in nor out but completely flat instead. So indistinguishable that neither mummy's nor children in his swimming club have ever noticed it.

This hernia business, is that an outie? A has an outie, nobody has said anything about it *worried face*

It's like a mega mega outie - Erin's was about the best part of an inch across and out - it literally looked like an amputated elephant's trunk - very very different from a nice cute little outie button.

Think they used to get you to tape a penny over the top of them from what my mum was saying about her sister having one.

The snot monster's now given ME her cold - I think I'm dying... hubby's got it as well but at least he can take stuff for his!

We had an umbicial hernia and its just going now. Major squelsh noise when pushed. Totally freaked me. Was told only to worry if it stuck out and was hard.

This infant gaviscon thing is freaking me out. Weve just had it added to matts reflux regime and its the thing that took away the last bit of sickness. Including sicking back up when tube feeding. I feel sick at the thought of having trouble getting it.

Well we're mobile - not crawling but we've finally fully figured out we can roly-poly to where we want to be. I very much get the impression we're going to skip crawling - she's started to look like wanting to pull herself up on furniture (silly girl keeps picking the squishy unsupportive footstool/guest mattress to try with though) and she'll "step" if you hold her up and support her. Happiness now is chucking all the shape sorter bricks all over and rolling around from brick to brick - explains the awful sleep disturbances we'd been having at least - she zonked flat out from 6.30 pm - 6am this morning... had her bottle, then thumped me on the nose, and screamed at me in indignation for me then having to blow my nose!

  • Haven't read back sorry but what are symptoms of tummy bug in babies? We have really stinky poo here and a fair bit of Sicking up even after gaviscon - not a full feed. Not sure if the gaviscon and gripe water are causing the stinks or if she is unwell.I think it's the gripe water as she is fine in herself I just wondered

Depends Hun, normally a tummy upset/bug will be constant dirty nappies, I think we had a poo every 30 mins or so

With the sicking and the pooping could it be something you've eaten that didn't agree with her? Offer her the boob as often as you can if she has the runs as shel need to keep hydrated x

  • Thanks gilly I think she was a bit bunged up then the smell was gripe water & thick consistency was the gaviscon - seems to be better now all round since the explosive nappies, hoping to get a decent nights sleep! X

My eldest looked like he was going to skip crawling... then he went back to it! :D I seem to remember he stood first, then crawled, then walked?
