Just put the second seat on the buggy to try to make sure it's all nice and loose and folding obligingly over the next few weeks (it's the big buggy we don't use that much at the moment now I can hardly walk anyway) - got both cosytoes on which look really nice together - I couldn't get a red to match that slightly unusual shade Britax do (and I was damned if I was paying £50 a cosytoes) so I bought the stripey ones from Mothercare that look really cheerful on there.
Quite chuffed with how much space the bottom seat gets with the adaptors on to lift the top seat up and away a bit as well - was always my big issue with things like the Phil and Teds etc.
Yes I learnt my lesson about loosening pram folds up a bit after last time when we were sat in the post-natal ward trying to google up how to unclip things from that pushchair as everything had been used once when we unpacked and so was still all really stiff and jammed together!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -
Hey everyone.
Hope you're all okay.:)
Dex is on Infant Gaviscon and we had a review a couple of day ago and it's really helping so the GP gave us a prescription for some more. Went to the Pharmacy to get it and apparently nowhere has any as there has been a manufacturing problem. We phoned around the other local pharmacies and they don't have any either and the manufacturers don't know when the pharmacies will get it and there isn't an alternative.
Dex has now turned from a happy little baby back into the one who cries because he is in so much pain with the reflux and being so uncomfortable. Poor bubba.
A couple of very lovely people have said that they have some spare and are going to send it to me though. which is so lovely as it is really making a difference to Dex's reflux and enables him (and us!) to sleep.
I really hope the problem gets sorted soon.:(2019 Wins

If there is a shortage and you can't get it Lady M go back to the doctor, there are other things that can be prescribed and they are obliged to do so if there is a reason the pharmacists don't have it. We've had it a few times with different things xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

Thank you hun. I might take you up on that offer depending on when more will be available. We're going to phone the local pharmacy to see if there's an update on Monday but it really sucks as it was helping Dex so much and now he's gone back to being really miserable and throwing up loads. If there is a shortage and you can't get it Lady M go back to the doctor, there are other things that can be prescribed and they are obliged to do so if there is a reason the pharmacists don't have it. Thanks hun. My GP phoned when she found out and said that there wasn't an alternative. =/2019 Wins

There are plenty of alternative hun, go see a different GP. They're not like for like BUT there are different medications to deal with reflux.

Hi an umbilical hernia to all intents and purposes looks like somebody has put their finger tip inside your babies belly button and are pushing it outwards. It tends to protrude hugely over the top of nappies. If your baby has one it is best to make your gp aware now. However most won't act on it until at least 9 months as strengthening of abdominal muscles due to sitting up and lying down tends to pull it back in to place.0
