Love the pics gilly, looks yummy!

Sammie can I come to yours for pancakes please?! We normally end up stood in the kitchen scoffing them as soon as they come out of the pan :rotfl: got chocolate spread, syrup, ice cream, banaanss and I'm going to get some chocolate later to melt in them too. Nomnomnomnom. George is having his tomorrow as I've not got organised in time for dinner and don't want to be rushing at tea time.

Just got him weighed this morning, 19lb 14oz now, dropped off his curve a bit so he's nearer the 50th than 75th but apparently that's normal once you start weaning, especially with blw. Given that he's just gobbled a lentil and carrot pattie, followed by a cheese and broccoli muffin, soon to be followed by a yoghurt and probably what ever else I can find in the fridge I don't think I've much to worry about ;)

Enjoy your pancakes everyone! We cheated and did pancake day on Sunday instead as OH's son was here for the weekend. Adults and teenager had lemon, sugar and blueberries, baby had mini ones with mashed banana mixed into the batter :)

Katie, I love the sound of the lentil pattie and the broccoli muffin - are the recipes online? I'm planning to make quinoa bites (http://blog.homemade-baby-food-recipes.com/babys-quinoa-bites/?awt_l=G4PO6&awt_m=3WFzxf8HVyfZgNr) - I've had a bag of the stuff sitting in the cupboard for ages, so time to do something with it!

No probs, the lentil pattie things - http://www.babyledweaning.com/recipes/lunchdinner/lins-sisters-lentil-and-carrot-cakes/
I cooked it for ages longer than it said as I used cubes of sweet potato and they took ages to go tender. He seems to like them but I'm not keen tbh!

On the other hand the cheese and broccoli muffins are yummy! http://www.babyledweaning.com/recipes/snacks/broccoli-and-cheese-muffins/. I used nearer 75g of cheese.

I've never tired quinoa but I've heard good things about it so thanks for the recipe, will see if there's any in tesco and grab a bag.

Is diet chef one of those that sends you everything prepared? I like the sounds of that. But they'd also have to confiscate all biscuits within a 35 mile radius of me...

Nutella have you tried many other recipes from that homemade baby food site? There's some yummy sounding ones! My shopping list is quickly going from a quick dash in for milk to a big shop!

Thank you - will definitely have a go at making those! I've tried a few recipes from the homemade babyfood website - there are quite a few good ones. I also used that site a lot when LO was younger and we started weaning; I looked up whichever fruit/vegetable that I was preparing (or planning to prepare) for her, learnt about their nutritional value and got ideas for what to mix them with. It's a really useful site albeit a bit unwieldy :o

Yep, Diet Chef send you everything prepared, all you need to do is stick it in the microwave. It's all calorie counted - you just add some milk or yoghurt for your breakfast + a couple of pieces of fruit each day. My delivery arrived in time for lunch, and the lentil and vegetable soup was really yummy :) Dinner is things like lasagne, curry, macaroni cheese, tagine, lunch is lots of different soups, pasta salads etc. Breakfast is granola, muesli, porridge, cookies (yes really!), and snacks are popcorn, cereal bars, biscuits and so on. I was really impressed with the variety on offer - being a Vegetarian I'm not used to that much choice! And - if I manage to stick to it, it'll work out cheaper than my normal food shop. Fingers crossed :)

Marta, waffles and maple syrup is no bad substitute for pancakes :)
