Morning all. My dad is flying over this morning to see Aaron for the first time, im so excited for them to meet. Excited to see my dad too, been a few months

think I must have over done it yesterday getting the flat organised because my stitches are killing today gonna have to rest more!

Afternoon everyone!

Gosh I am so tired! Noah has a cold and has barely slept for the last 3 nights, he is really suffering bless him. I feel so helpless, wish I could take it all away.

I just got him some vapour rub for babies (i didnt know such thing existed!)so hopefully that will help him a bit tonight.
Any other advice what I could do for him?

hi Flower sorry your little guy and you are suffering Have you propped up the head area of his bed? a rolled up towel or large cellular blanket does the job great. I am still using the same set of bed feet I was given for my now 12 year old son, they are fabulous for colds during early childhood and also for reflux too. I got mine from hospital as my boy was very pre term and colds were a major issue due to scarring caused by ventilation but I think they are only about £12.00 a set from kiddicare. Rules may well have changed since then but I was told to use his baby bouncer as much as possible whenever he had colds and it was very helpful.

You could try sitting with Lo in a steamy bathroom to help with the congestion, aksi helps to raise on end of the mattress so the mucous drains better and doesn't sutton in the nose and pasagges.

Thank you both!

Have noticed that he seems to be happier sitting in his bouncer today so that obviously because hes not lying flat. I left him in it to have a bit of a nap, would probably get told off by HV for this but at least he got a bit of sleep!

Will definitely try propping the mattress up a bit tonight, hadnt thought of that to be honest. I know how uncomfortable I feel lying flat when I have a cold, so hopefully being up a bit will help.

Does anyone else miss being pregnant? I love Amelia to bits and am so happy she's here but I really miss my bump too! I guess I was lucky that I didn't get SPD or anything and had a good pregnancy, I'm sure I wouldn't miss it at all if I'd struggled through, but I really do miss it! I'm not in any hurry to do it again though, I think OH might have to seriously talk me into it if Amelia is going to have any siblings. I know he'd love a little boy though...

Annabella much as I totally adore my children and would not change having them....I loathed every second of being pregnant. I hated the incredible stress and worry, and complete lack of ability to ensure a happy successful outcome that pregnancy brings.

I have a little grouchy bear here today! Constant little powernaps, messing around on her bottle, and crying fits. Getting laughs atm,but very restless!

Snap Lirin, nothing has seemed to settle DD, has barely had a sleep today maybe an hour allday, either been asleep on me or OH, managed about 20mins in her basket and her colic is gonna kick in soon.
