(he can sleep through a full on wail no problems!)

Most men can!! I'm very very lucky in that my OH gets up with LO to do 2am feed. He has been absolutely amazing, and given me so much help and support. He has taken time off work to help me deal with PND and has spent nights sleeping in LO's room when she is poorly so that I can sleep. He is shattered this morning, LO had her first jabs yesterday and was very unsettled/ distressed through the evening and night :( OH 'slept' on an airbed on her floor, he has work today too :(

Just checking in to thank you all for your advice r.e the engorgement. Seems to have settled now and Im expressing fine. Midwife has said 3 hourly with 15 minutes each side. Does that seem about right?

We had a great night last night. Down at 10, up at 1, 4 and 7. Did have an explosive nappy though. poor wee soul was coated in it :o

Good day vibes to all xxx

Glad you're getting on better Gilly!

I don't express at any particular time, though when I look back it's probably every 3-4 hours.... I don't bother getting up in the night though!

I don't get a six-week check, I will get one at eight weeks when Rose gets her injections, but only if I request it.... Will ask GP about stitches, though don't see what he can do! It's just going to take a while, and the biggest problem is that I'm impatient!

Rose is going through a little growth spurt I think- she slept a lot of yestarday, all last night, and is still snoozing! When she is awake, she's very alert.

I have given in and given DD a dummy:(been really unsettled this morning, nothing seemed to comfort her so gave her the dummy and she took it. Feel bad now tho.

DD noises keep me up all night again, so now feel tired.
Also, noticed her cries are different so just trying to figure out what each one means, feel like i should already know.
noticed past two days shes become a dribbley baby

My boobs feel big and tender today

Lauralou - don't worry about using a dummy, if it helps settle little one then it isn't something to feel guilty about.Plus they are supposed to help prevent SIDs.

Also i still don't know what all LO's cries are for so don't worry but it does get easier to work out.

Glad you had a better night Gilly.

Jenjade - glad the naked cuddling seems to have worked. I have heard the halifax savers are good too, still haven'tgot round to doing Poppy one.

We took Elliot to be registered today so he's all official. I managed to walk there and back so I'm happy that I got out of the house for a bit, though fairly tired again now :)

I can't quite belive that today should have been my due date - 2 weeks ago I was hard at work without having any twinges or anything, until my waters broke that night! Still doesn't seem quite real somehow!

Quick question - how long did it take before the cord healed over? Elliot's belly button is still oozing a bit and he's 13 days now, the cord came off at 5 days.

Ha! If I knew definitely what even one of Roses cries was- I'd be sorted! Just have to go through the checklist every time.... :) She's trying to perplex us now by deciding she needs changed, fed, sleep and a cuddle all at the same time..... Or when shes crying and bizarrely grinning simultaneously....fun!!!

    You're doing great Laura!

Re the cry thing the only thing I do know is volume quite often equals quantity of poo:eek: but other than that I'm clueless

I wish I could stop getting peed on. I know as soon as his Rodger looks more perky time to swerve but somehow he always gets me, I even turned round and he did it the little monster !!
