Anyone else think pampers smell bad? Not only are they strangely acrid they also, bizarrely, smell of poo. I'm forever checking Freddie's @rse when he's wearing them"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

Fluff I think pampers smell weird. I had a pack to test from tesco mums club and couldn't wait for them to run outm yuck.
FINALLY went to a group at my new local children's centre, it was REALLY busy!!! Seems good but I didn't like the people I was sat with....think we will go next week and just sit somewhere else
My mei tai arrived today, I'm so excited!!! I want reu to hurry up and finish a feed so we can try it out! I've got to go to the post office to post a load of reu's clothes that I've sold on the fb selling page, so great excuse to try it out.
Poor reu is teething like anything, he's refusing solids as he just cries when he chews thingsso milk milk milk is all I've had today, signed at me lol.
Going to try bickiepegs to see if they help....0 -

I used to love those ones with marrow in the middle when I was a kid0

Pampers do smell stinky - like really vinegary formula poo when there's no poo in there. We're currently in Tesco nappies while they're on special at the moment, if the offer stops we'll flip back over to Kiddicare ones.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0

Quiet on here at the moment!
Just had the monkey to the docs, he's come over with excema that's been getting worse and worse for over a week now. Got a prescription for some stuff but boots didnt have the cream or the bath stuff in so have to go back tomorrow. Hope it does the trick.
Children's centre sounds good turtle, did Reuben like it? Hope his teeth are better today?
I've not noticed a smell with pampers. But we do only use them over night at the moment. Must admit I quite like them actually, the kiddicare ones are great and cheap but the pampers seem much less bulky. And the pictures are 10 times better on pampers!Newborn thread member

I use pampers newborn, and ordered pampers baby dry for the nights, I've not used it yet. I haven't tried anything else, so I can't compare!

Turtle - our local children's centre is fantastic, unless you end up sitting with the group I've mentally dubbed "the coven" who will literally ignore you and talk over the top of you (they're all due back off maternity leave soon so hopefully we've got shot of them all soon)... I just try to keep well away cos I know what they're like by now! The baby group can get utterly ridiculously busy though - when I'm able to walk down there again (flipping bus service being pulled has killed me getting out and about) I'll go to some of their more drop-in sessions... but the staff have all been fantastic knowing how badly I'm struggling with my pelvis now - they'll carry Erin in from the buggy, get me a chair and really help out.
Found somewhere locally that stocks disposable bibs (pound shop) - saves me ordering them online and with weaning mess they're so much nicer than carrying around normal bibs then sticking your hand in the changing bag to find your purse and finding a bib covered in mush and goo.
Nana's gone home - and boy oh boy are we sulking about it. Took her down the doctors while I got whooping cough jabbed as well - nurse is trying to be really chatty and get her to smile and she just glowered at her with a "last time you were nice to me you stuck needles in me" face on her... then the nurse smiled and said "oh we'll see you in a couple of months"... the face was a picture!Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0 -

Shame hun, hope he's ok. With Charlie, we used the Oilatum Bath and Cream afterwards, and the E45 foaming bath. It's cleared up now and we've stuck to Simple, and no longer use any Johnson's stuff.
I love how much less bulky pampers are too. Though also really like Tesco Superfit xDFD February 2012

I dreamt I went to get Reuben out of the cot and he had no socks on (he never has no socks on so it was unusual) and I thought "odd, his feet look a funny colour" and as I picked him up he was dead and had been for some time. The dream continued for a few weeks after this - so I had to tell everyone he had died, go through everyone asking me about it etc. I woke up and had been crying in my sleep, and I just laid in bed and sobbed for ages, it was really upsetting!!!!! Silly really, but it was such a vivid dream. Has made me feel a bit unsettled all day
lots of cuddles for reu today!!!!
Ah hun, shame, that's such a horrible dream. Not nice
