Shame hun, hope he's ok. With Charlie, we used the Oilatum Bath and Cream afterwards, and the E45 foaming bath. It's cleared up now and we've stuck to Simple, and no longer use any Johnson's stuff.

I love how much less bulky pampers are too. Though also really like Tesco Superfit x

Careful with the Oilatum bath stuff - it can build up and make the surface of your bath nicely resemble a skating rink... and yes, I'm speaking from bitter experience here (my brother had to use the stuff for years - I slipped quite badly on the resultant slippy bath on a few occasions and had some nice near-misses)!

OK - what's people's opinions on Robyn as a girls' name sister for Erin?! We're about 90% decided on it I think.

    Quick post ladies.
Not posted in a while as im currently stuck at hospital with Matthew.

As some of you may remember he had seizures at birth and feeding problems.

Well can you believe he got reflux as well. So a baby that only took 2oz a feed then threw it back up. I begged for help and it still took docs two weeks to admit us. Hes classed as malnourished and developmentally and physically behind because he has no energy.

Hes now tube fed and will be on discharge. We feed him normally an oz then he stops and we tube the rest. Hes on Infatrini high cal milk. Hes now 8lb at 13 weeks. Finally we are gaining instead of loosing.

He had another fit in hospital yesterday so they upped his meds.

They cant tell me why he fits and doesnt eat but doc did say she thinks as soon as he gets weight on him he should develop ok and catch up. In her words " i dont think hes a baby that will cause me long term worry".

Just hope he gains again on next weigh in wed/thurs so we can get out!.

Then we just have to get 9 syringes of meds in him a day plus tube feeding oh and yeah the 21 month old who wants playing with too lol

    Hugs to all
    xx

Thanks hun - we use a bath/shower mat in there which gets rinsed after every bath he's had.

I've got a friend called Robyn - nice name x

Alamaya gosh sounds like you and bubba are having a rough time. I hope he puts on weight soon and you can both get home soon xx

Katie Reuben seemed to like the group, but a bit hard to tell as he was so grumpy and dribbly, he mostly just chewed on a tambourine.

Someone on the fb group found this - asda have 2packs of pink or blue cot and cotbed sheets (2sizes) are down to £2.25 (70x140) and £1.75 (60x120). Usually £9 a pack! I got 2, wahey :D

Anyone had their bookstart pack? If so, where do you get it from? My library said they don't do them any more :-/
  • The rumour here in Wales is that the Bookstart packs come from the health visitor, no sign of one for me as yet, I might ask at the clinic tomorrow. The only books A has looked at so far are soft ones with black and white patterns she'll stare vaguely at those for a bit. She likes hearing me read to her though, and I often read my own books, don't think it really matters what it is, she likes my voice. I do steer clear of anything really unsuitable though!

Hello, can anyone recommend a book on child development in the first year that will help us as new parents (baby is 2 weeks old) to know at what stage he should be reaching milestones (e.g smiling etc) and ideas on what we can do to help his development at various stages? Thanks x
