Evening ladies,
I don't normally post, but Turtle you've just had me in stitches with your earlier post, so I had to log in just to say thank you :-)
While I feel your pain, in a selfish way it's also good to know it's not just us. My lovely little girl is 7 months now, and has been waking randomly in the early hours for the last few days. She, too, can be very persistent, and is also quite the actress with the fake coughing and gagging noises. Would be hilarious - if I wasn't quite so exhausted!
Anyway, thanks for cheering me up this evening. I'm off to bed and full of anticipation of what this night might bring! Hope all you lovely ladies get a good night's sleep.0 -

Doesn't happen on both sides. Spoke to the midwife who said it could be the latch (I don't think it is as she is pretty good at latching on both sides) or thrush
she doesn't have white spots in her mouth and there is no sign of anything on my breast. Anyone experienced this? Really hoping it isn't thrush but as I'm on antibiotics it is a real possibility.
I had shooting pains early on, can't remember how long for, but I remember mentioning them at the 6 week check. They eventually just went away. Keep an eye out for red shiny nipples for thrush I think?Just wait until they are all 2 and dropping their sleeps... Then they doze off at 4pm for an hour and will be charging about until midnightand if they do stay awake and are in bed at a reasonable hour they will have been utterly miserable since about 2pm!
I don't have to worry about that.... I've got the one who was up till 3 last night, had 10 minutes sleep in the car earlier, and is still up now!
Mine was big to start with... but just didn't keep up with his initial size. I'm assuming he's just finding his own level, but the HV asked me to bring him back a couple of times to check he's growing taller.0 -
I used to get a needles feeling during each letdown - so would get it multiple times in a feed. It lessened over time though.0

A bit behind but hello cedrickerry !
Sleep - I am sure I've said it before but since 7 months when he started teething we have has periods of rubbish sleep. I definately think the development thing is an issue or wonder weeks thing. When it's very pronounced it's teeth or illness. As I still give water or milk if have reached the end of the road to settle if he won't take either I know it teeth. Sympathies as its no fun sleep deprivation. Scott is still in with us and I am aware that just me turning over can wake him
Sometimes so now he's nearly a year we are going to see if moving him helps avoid that one! We are keeping his old cot bed with us and his new in his room so can bring him into our room if need be.
Teething powder nelsons does help if he's going nuts over teething as do his fluffy toys but ultimately we muddle along as hes going to have bad nights. Only thing I've learnt is if he wakes and I want to settle him with water then I must give it quick in the dark before he notices its not milk! But obviously now hes reaching one soon got to be switching bottle to beaker all the time that's bother challenge0 -
I put Dewi down at 12 and he still hasn't woken. Surely this isn't normal? He's not even 2 weeks!0

Some babies sleep through from a young age bamama. As long as there are no concerns about his weight and he is cluster feeding of an eve Id leave him be xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0

I woke him at half 9
he's back down now x

Final piece of the jigsaw slotted into place yesterday btw... she was chomping on my finger (stuff buying Sophie the Giraffe - my fingers are apparently THE teether of choice) and for some reason was licking at my finger as well, so my finger went underneath her tongue... what do we find under there? A nice long web of utterly undiagnosed (because the Dr couldn't find a tongue depressor and never returned with one in a fortnight) tongue tie!
Explains a lot - and removes any shred of residual guilt - I could have stayed in that hell hole months and had no success (and they'd probably still not have spotted it). Nice to finally have the puzzle solved though - will ask the HV or doc to double-check when I next see one that's nice.Little miracle born April 2012, 33 weeks gestation and a little toughie!0
