Hi girls, i hope you dont mind me asking ( My 1st baby is 5yo) I will be 35 weeks tomorrow and saw the MW today, she measured my belly and it is 32 cms, booked me to see me again in 2 weeks to check again.
at 31+5 weeks i was measuring 30, so baby has grown a bit.
Is there anyone else who measured small for dates ? how big was your baby ? So far i have put on 5lbs and really trying to eat much more although i am not hungry and never been so far the entire pregnancy. She says not to worry eating more.
Hi morocha, I was measuring very small in my pregnancy, but my situation was quite different and I had a very prem baby so won't scare you with my stories! They do keep a close eye on pregnant ladies though and if the MW was really concerned I think she would have sent you for a scan, that's what happened to my, the MW rang the hospital up whilst I was in the room with her and got me an appointment for an hour later! I don't think measuring the bump with a tape measure is that accurate either. Good luck, I'm sure things will be fine.:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Morocha, I'm gonna say don't worry, but then we can't help but do that while pregnant
I had a small bump but they don't measure bumps here so I couldn't tell you how many cm's it was as I only done it infrequently. However I was frequently told how big a baby I was having, and was referred for a scan near the end looking at possible induction because of how big he looked. He was born at 7lb 13oz. I don't think bump size is any indication of size of baby, you could have hardly any fluid and it's why your bump is small, baby could be in a weird position. I didn't put on much weight either and came out of hospital weighing less than before I was pregnant xx

Aww glad he loves it as well, Poppy bops along to the music - the dogs aren't very keen though and I've seen them giving it evils through-out the day!
Just a quick question to see if anybody has suffered from bruises! I know we aren't allowed to ask medical advice and I do have an appointment book with my GP for next Friday but its playing on my mind!
I keep bruising really easily on my legs, I have massive bruises on my thighs, it looks like I've been in a fight or an accident (I haven't) I'm thinking maybe its something to do with my iron, I do take adaily multi-vit though. I had low iron during my pregnancy and had a lot of problems with nose bleeds and bleeding after my section. The Doctor said this was all normal for somebody who had suffered with severe pre-eclampsia. The bruising has only just started to happen the past few weeks and its worrying me slightly (really shouldn't have googled it!!)

Hi ladies
Haven't read back yet but I hope everyone had a nice Christmas.
My nan died Christmas morning so our Christmas didn't go according to plan, tried to keep it as normal as possible for the boys though.
I'll read back in a mo.

Try not to worry. Baby could just have been in a different position.
They can save babies born at 23 weeks, but still use a tape to measure the size of someones stomach to work out how big a baby is! A bit of a medieval way of doing things in my opinion14th October 201020th October 20113rd December 20130 -
