Hi everyone
It's about time I made my way over here from the preg thread. Little man is now 2 weeks old. Can't believe how quickly the last 2 weeks have flown by. I guess each day/night is merging with the next.
Hope everyone is well.

Thanks turtlemoose, I'll have a look at that Victoria slinglady site, I want something very easy to put on. I have a Stokke carrier, it's three ways, but it does say that you can only have the newborn facing you and with the newborn inset that holds the head. It's also one of a few that allow the baby to bend knees upwards and supports the bum instead of the crotch, which I read it is the right position to avoid hip dysplasia. It's pricey, like the Ergo, but it should last 3 years with all the different inserts, positions, back supports and hooks to adapt the weight to you. It has a 3 years warranty and it was the only one that my DH would wear from the options I gave him! Lol. I wanted one that allowed the "frog position" and could be used from newborn, and other than this one and the Ergo, the rest were wraps and ring slings, which my DH said he was not prepared to wear. So we got the family to buy it for us. It's great but I don't feel it's for the house. It's more for going out and about, its sturdy and flexible at the same time but I want something as easy to put on as a t-shirt, where I can soothe by baby and hold her upright for winding or keeping her like that for 20min to aid digestion. I do not want to use the Stokke one for that, it could get battered very quickly if I use it after every feed and to go around doing some chores, and I want it to last those three years!!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Hi mlbarret!! Our babies were born within half an hour of each other!
We are now doing "shifts" here, lol. One of us stays awake / with naps during the night whilst the other one sleeps, then change places early in the morning and we are back together in the late afternoon. But I'm not sure what I'll do when DH goes back to work!! I guess just have constant naps between feedings. Or maybe by then she'll sleep for more than two hours on average, and it will be easier to manage?
How are you doing? We are both thrilled and smittenI could just keep looking at her for ages doing those little cute noises on her sleep!!

Marta, to start with you do need to get the hang of your sling, but it is easy once you know how, i promise!
My OH also scoffed at the sling (mine was plain brown) but after seen how cosy and lovely it wwas, he asjed to have a go when whhen we went out for the day. He got so many admiring glances from women that he now thinks they are great haha0 -
Lol turtlemoose!!! I might have to try that!! Hahaha!Quit smoking *1st January 2010*

Hello all, probably forgetting who I am
Hope everyone had a nice Christmas. We had a lovely time. My poor baby had a chest and ear infection and was on anti-biotics (still is!)
I managed to completely mangle my finger this morning so again wont be around much as I'm struggling to type. Weird incident with a top shelf and a tin of beans hurtling from a great height.
Hugs to new mummys xxThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

I'm trying to buy some sleepsuits/ all-in-ones with integrated mittens those long sleeves that can vs turned over to cover the hands, but I can only find them in Mothercare; it's difficult to figure out by the pics if any other store has them. Do you know of any other??Quit smoking *1st January 2010*
