WW - if you cannot get a refund, I would go to both classes, if you can manage the time, as it will hopeful give you more chances to make baby friends.
I'm not naturally very sociable but I know I'm going to have to try, you are bound to find people who go by themselves, and I don't know about you but I always feel better after I've left the house (which I forget when I'm sat in the house). In going to sign up for everything, it's a shame DH won't be able to do the classes as he is much better at that sort of thing.:ANeeding to save all the money, lots of MSE learning still to do

did you try oilatim for the eczema, has worked really well on samuel
Yeah, we've got Oilatum for the bath, Epaderm for everyday use and 2 ointments for flare ups.
Katie seems to be sleeping well at the mo. She went from 6.30 until 1.00am before waking for a feed. I am wondering if it is calpol induced sleep though as the GP prescribed it to be administered 4 times a day while she is taking antibiotics. I guess we will find out when this next course finishes on Monday :eek:0 -
Why am i up and DD is asleep??!
Had a better night with the colic. Gave her a bath just before it was about to kick, which did relax her but then when we got out she started. Managed a big feed at 8, and afterwards started yawning so OH got her off to sleep but then woke up at 10 and OH said she was doing her sucky face so tired a feed but she didnt want any so OH got her off to sleep again and brought her up to the bedroom at 11. She then didn't wake until 1.30 for a feed but only had 5ish mins and went back to sleep then woke up at 5.30 and had 10mins, was awake after feed but i put her down and she went to sleep. So during the night shes only had 15min feed. SShe did have alot in the day.
OH advice please?
A couple of weeks ago when his friend came round to meet DD, he said about them going out etiher tonight or tomorrow for his birthday. I was happy at the time for him to go but now DD is unsettled in the evenings/colicy, i need/like to have OH with me. He said about going out yday and i said that i didnt really want him to go out because of the colic, i said he could go out about 10/11 as thats when she settles and his friends will prob still be out then. Would you be happy to let your OHs go out? Would your OH be happy to go out knowing that you will be at home with a colicy/crying baby?
And i saw that he was on his xbox at 2 in the morning, so if he complains his tired today will not be happy!0 -
I'd want DH near if there was a problem. Even if he can't do much, the company is always nice, having someone nearby when it's getting hard is important too. Saying that, I also see the importance of being away from baby too for a bit- while I love Rose completely, there is the occasional time when I'd like to keep to my schedule again, not hers! Talk to him, Laura, does he know you feel that way?0

Laura, with my first, the ex went back to work nights the day we got home from the hospital. Baby howled unconsolably all night (and most nights!). This time, my other half can only be here weekends. You will get through ok if you have to. As it is only one night and a special occasion, I'd let him go.
Had a very feedy boy last night, put him down at 1 and had long enough to empty the washer and brush my teeth before I heard a suspicious cough. Picked him up just before he threw tons of stale milk down his front. Changed him, was just doing up the fresh suit, and he did it again! He also had one of those refilling dirty nappies where every time he's clean, he tops it up.
Had another explosive leaky nappy too yesterday, maybe I need to go up a size cos I've not had a leaky Nature Babycare before? He's well in the weight range, but they must leak for some reason?0 -
due to some concerns that have arisen, i would just like to say that i am very grateful and really appreicate ALL the advice i have been given on here regarding breast feeding and bottle feeding. it has been really informative and everyone has been really supportive in the choices i have made going from breast to bottle.
i managed to breast feed a lot longer this time around than i have previously managed and it is due to the advice i have been given here to try. i have now gone onto bottle feeding and the support i have had here has been amazing and i would like to thank all of you. you have been a real support, encouraging and undestanding.
