Turtle it does look a bit upright (on my phone so pic is a bit small) but did you say you've got the newborn insert in it? Could you try him without that maybe in case it's that that's making him tip forward?

Also when I put mine in I really struggled with the angled foot bit that you have to click out to wedge it on the car seat. When you reclined it did it go through a couple of movements to get to the most reclined position?

I think it will recline more turtle, on ours there's a bigger gap between the frame and the back of the seat bit, if that makes sense? Too dark to take a pic to be able to compare.

seren and katie thanks for tips. I am a dumbass and had not in fact reclined it at all, i had misunderstood the instructions and though that the foot at the bottom thing WAS what made reclined. Idiot! Poor boy :( have sorted it for the ride home though. I do want to take the newborn insert out though as he's a bit cramped with it in, but he's not 8kg yet so unsure if it's safe to do so :(

It's massive though,, he sits behind me and ive had to push my seat forward a "click".

Nutella - thus far dd is veggie. We had a debate about it at home but both me and DH are veggie and have been for well over 29 years so it's much simpler for her to be eating what we eat, and we are pretty familiar with getting protein and other nutrients without using meat. On top of which I have no idea how to cook the stuff safely!

She's going to nursery in January and we have said no meat there either. Part of this is because they won't feed her anything we can't confirm she has had safely at home, but largely because we feel that if she is going to eat meat we want it to be the best quality organic stuff rather than mass produced and it won't be that at nursery.

I was a bit dissapointed with the fact that all their veggie meals are quorn, but as it's only 3 meals a week I figure we can give her a rather more varied diet at home.

I guess the only ones who can make the choice at this stage are you and your OH. When we decided we figured that either decision she would be annoyed with at some point when she grows up!

Glad you got it sorted turtle. I'd have thought if the newborn insert pushes his neck forward it'd be better to take it out, but obviously that's just IMO, I don't if its actually safer to be a bit underweight but sat straight or have him a bit squashed up…

G got his first party invite today! One of the babies at play group is 1 in January so they're having a birthday do. Bring on the party hats!
