Blimey I've only been out a couple of hours and there's loads to catch up on!

    Welcome back dizzi!

Turtle - you've got a little bruiser on your hands! :rotfl: I second the broccoli comment, that stuff takes on a life of its own!

Gilly - we just shared some French toast for dinner, went down a treat! He ate well over half what I gave him, and I didn't even find the usual pile of chewed up and spat out mush under his bum when I got him out of the high chair :T

Thanks for all the car seat info, will defo check online when were in there, thanks sammie. Just checked though and neither of the halfords near us have that britax that can rear face in stock which is a bummer. Like what I've read about it but I really wanted to see it in the flesh before buying it. Will still go and have a nose I think though.

Dizzi, welcome back! Good to hear everything is going well, been thinking of you :)

The hiding bottles under muslins sounds familiar - we hide ours behind the kettle until we're ready to feed; otherwise she wants it NOW!!! Her evening bottle is smuggled into her room by OH whilst I give her a bath :o

Sounds like I should be looking forward to giving LO broccoli then! :rotfl:She's eaten it before, but only as mush, and she wasn't particularly keen... She's just eaten cauliflower though - first time she hasn't refused it! Admittedly it was mixed with sweet potato, leek and cheese, but still... Although I think she'd eat anything that's got sweet potato in it - it's a magic ingredient!

LO's bouncing, I'm drinking coffee and eating Jamaican ginger cake :D It was on offer for £1 at the Co-op and they only had one left, so it would have been rude to just leave it there on the shelf.

Oh, and I'm trapped in a cycle of missed deliveries :( Went to the Royal Mail delivery office to pick up the parcel we missed a couple of days ago - only to come home to find another two missed delivery slips! Boo.

Well my trip to halfords is off, they don't have any of the front and rear facing ones in stock at all! Think we'll just end up ordering the britax from kiddicare, looks to be the cheapest place. Is it really sad that I'm totally disappointed that I can't go and buy it NOW? It's a baby car seat for flips sake, and I was excited about spending £100 on it? What on earth has happened to me?! :o

In other news, the jumper that I've been knitting for him for, ooh lets see...MONTHS has gone totally wrong, got halfway up the first sleeve and messed up so I've had to take the whole sleeve out and start again. He's going to be grown up and with his own kids by the time I get it finished!

Mmm ginger cake! Sounds yummy. My oh bought me a mini selection box yesterday - out of the 5 things that were in it there's one left. I'm such a greedy swine! In my defence it was all half size things in it...

Katie I've just bought the first class whatever it is from boots. £119.99 but there is a £15 off code on hot deals (can't post link as on phone). Anyway that brings it down to £104.99 but you get 2022 points so that's essentially another £20 off making it £85....beating kiddicare by a fiver. :D

That's a good deal - think we paid about £120ish for ours - coulda got it cheaper as they had some of the blue ones reduced in Mothercare but went for boring gender-neutral black. Taxman paid for it though anyway (I like the inland revenue so much more when they keep finding £600 cheques to send ME)

.... But if that happens, you'll have a present ready and waiting for your grandchild! :p I went through a knitting phase as a teenager, and at a particularly ambitious point I started on a jumper. Did the main bit, couldn't face the sleeves, never finished it. My mum has kept it - 'just in case we want to finish it one day!'. Uhm, it's been 15+years! :o

Boo to car seat :( I totally get wanting it NOW, I'd be the same.

Dizzi - nice to hear from you.

Katiechoc - I was the same when we decided to buy a car seat, I wanted it there and then!! Was pleased as we were able to fit isofix in our car for it too. :)

I've spent the afternoon faffing with a photo calendar online!! Just ordered a load to give out as Christmas pressies :D

Nutella - was it you talking about the animal pics on pampers nappies? I bought a box from tesco and I'm so excited to see what animals are on them!
