Gilly, do you put sugar on the French toast or have you found an alternative? Saw Belfast on TV this afternoon - staying in sounds like the sensible thing to do
Well done on xmas presents!

Sugar? Blasphemy surely. Sweet FT is just wrong. Period. Savoury only here
It is pretty grim, the KFC that's been on the telly is about a 2 minute walk from my door. The frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -

:rotfl:I've only ever eaten it with sugar and cinnamon - that might be about to change!... I don't even know what to put on a savoury one - apart from egg, obviously? Saw the KFC on the news, glad you're all safely indoors0 -
I just do egg, and if I'm making it for myself salt and pepper and loads of Ketchup.
If I'm making it for baby bear, I just do egg on it's own, he doesn't seem to mind, he wolfs it down.
I'm making spicy mince, wedges and salad for dinner, waiting on it cooking now, will have to go wake sleeping beauty up or he'l never sleep tonight! xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
Hmmm, I might try cinnamon only, and maybe I could add a dash of apple juice to the whisked egg to make it a bit sweet... Or come to think of it - I bought some fruity bread yesterday, that might work with just egg. Think I'll try that tomorrow. Not sure I could cope with salt, pepper & ketchup! Your dinner sounds yummy
I love wedges, but haven't had any in ages.

It's yummy with salt and pepper, trust me
I don't like sweet things for breakfast so maybe that's why?
It's how I've always had it too, maybe it's a Scottish thing? as I know if you go out for brunch it's always sweet xThe frontier is never somewhere else. And no stockades can keep the midnight out.0 -
I have a question... My LO will be 7 months next week - do I still need to boil her drinking water and sterilise her bottles? I've been googling, and there's so much conflicting advice out there, although most people seem to think that boiling drinking water (as opposed to the water used for making up formula) beyond 6 months is unecessary. What do others do?0

I don't boil his drinking water, but I sterilise anything that has come into contact with formula and will continue to do so until he is no longer drinking formula. The bacteria from formula can grow fast and can cause horrible bugs. They recommend sterilising until a year which would make sense as you can move on to cows milk then

Evening ladies.
Yep it was me with the French toast gilly, he loved it too! I just did it with egg, dunked my bit in ketchup.
And yes, I'm pretty much in pieces with the wakes up now, we've been out all day at the Winchester Xmas market and as soon as we got in I had to have a sleep for an hour. Resigned to the next night or two being hard but hopefully will start to see an improvement soon. We'd better or I think I'll have a breakdown!
I've been boiling G's drinking water, only just started giving it to him in a sippy cup but was wondering if it was really necessary as I'm always forgetting and trying to cool it down in a rush!
Eek, OH has a fry up ready for me, best go!Newborn thread member

Thanks ladies, it's hard because I don't want to moan as DP is working hard so we can lead a comfortable life and I can stay at home with the boys, but I just get so tired at times. He has got 2 jobs for tomorrow now!! I supose it's good his company is really taking off though.
Noah is alot better too thanks, his other top tooth is so close to poking through the skin so I don't think that is helping, poor baby.
Gilly - pizza sounds lovely! We went to the harvester for dinner
