I might be overcoming my fear of finger foods
LO's finally had some - and twice in one day! :j Banana this morning and Organix carrot sticks this afternoon (thanks Gilly for that recommendation) - both went down well and she's still alive
And more went into her mouth than on the floor, so I consider it a success.
She's currently (literally) going round in circles on her playmat - I think she's trying to crawl but looks like she's trying to swim instead, just flapping her arms and legs. So instead of going forwards or backwards she just shuffles round and round and round :rotfl:0 -
Jannine, so cool that Poppy is going to be a celeb! And no, practising your poses is not sad
I can't recommend the Nespresso machine highly enough - it really is fab. And it requires practically no cleaning, which is equally fab. The aeroccino is great too if you love your cappuccinos - only takes a few seconds to turn cold milk into hot frothy milk0 -
Littlemoog - YAAAAAY for a good night! Our first few were traumatic too but we are now getting 2 - 2.5 hour naps between feeds and Alice goes straight back in her Moses basket when she's finished, as opposed to needing to be cuddled for 45 mins before I can put her down. Not that I don't love the cuddles obviously, but these last few nights I have managed about 5 hours sleep for myself in two or three chunks, which doesn't sound much but is soooo much better than when we first started! Plus it means I haven't had to sit up watching Jeremy Kyle and similar drivel most of the night, I can just get straight back to sleep myself. I swear to you I watched some programme the other night about Pimp My Caravan or something!0

I don't want the Nespresso but think that these are fabulous. Were they also cheaper in the Netherlands as a stand alone?
They were 70 euros (£56) - but in addition to the '50 euros off any Nespresso machine' offer, they had a 'refer a friend' offer where if a friend who already had a machine referred* you, then you also got a free gift. I picked the aeroccino as the gift, so I got the Nespresso machine AND the aeroccino for a grand total of £72! :money:
*Technically this offer didn't apply to people living abroad, but they were perfectly happy for me to use my friend's grandmother's address in Holland!0 -
SavageHK - still no sign of a baby?...0

Nope Nutella, had my 40+10 appointment today and all is well though. Back again on Monday for more monitoring, will have a sweep then too.
That is a bargain on the Nespresso!!0 -

Yay to the finger foods Nutella! I find myself just watching him eat at mealtimes, yesterday he ate the bit of toast that was sticking out of his fist but then just kept trying to put his whole hand in his mouth to get the rest!Newborn thread member
