Hmm only a few weeks I'd say Katie, we started with puree's so hard to say. I'd say though about the third thing I tried was home made mini burgers and home made oven chips and good chunk of that went in. It's still the same now, if it's something he finds easy to eat or something he loves he'l get loads in. Have you tried French Toast? It's easy for them to gum as it's soft and easy to hold too. If it's something he's not keen on or he isn't in the right mood, too playful/tired he'l just throw it away.

Hmm thanks gilly. It's only really been just over a week since we stopped the purees completely, guess I just need to be a bit more patient. Will give French toast a try at dinner time, thanks.

Wow to Poppy getting in the paper Jannine! I would definitely have been practising too ;)

    Morning ladies :)

We had a bit of a breakthrough night, Ellie only woke for a feed every 2 hours and went back to sleep in her Moses afterwards! I feel like a new person this morning, no all night cluster feed! :D put her back down at 720 and have managed to shower, dress, dry hair and eat breakfast :)

Busy day for us, taking Ellie for a blood test, then to bumps and babes to.meet all my NCT ladies and their babies for the first time. Got mil coming this afternoon, and DH's best friend popping over later. We're going to ask him to be Ellie's godfather :)

Hope all your babies are good today :)

    Morning all

LittleMoog - glad you managed to get some sleep, it does you the world of good doesn't it?! Have a nice day.

Nutella - fab bargain. Would make a great Christmas present, may have to mention it to my friend she has an 8 week old and doesn't know what to buy her.

Morning all, crap night here, and I don't really know why, just felt like me and A kept waking each other up, I think my tossing and turning was waking him, and then he'd be moving about/making noises and waking me. God love him he has massive bags under his eyes this morning. I do too and OH has finished the milk before going to work, I need coffee. I'm drinking it black, not my preferred choice but needs must :D

A has taken one or two single steps since yesterday :j all on his terms though and won't do it again for me to video it. He takes on step, looks at me as if to say "Whaaaaaaaat" looks horrified and falls on to his bum :o

Oh wow Gilly! What a clever boy. It is funny when they start walking, I remember my DS1 used to look at me as if to say "what is going on mum"!!

He's so confused and has no idea what's going on. So far he's only taken steps for his dummy! We were planning on stopping using it from next week... looks like it'l be in circulation a bit longer :D

What a clever boy gilly! Boo that he won't let you video him though :rotfl:

Glad you had a bit of a better night Littlemoog.

G is a bit unsettled at the moment, he was up at 6 so his routine is all to pot - almost due his second nap now when normally he'd only just be waking up after the first one! And his cheeks have suddenly turned bright pink so not sure if teeth are giving him jip. Might take him swimming after dinner to distract him.

  • Yay for walking gilly.

Forgot to say Niall rolled over a week ago from front to back he hasnt done it again yet but is really trying hard, lots of grunting and frustrated noises.

Niall had his 16 week jabs today, didn't realise it was 3 injections:eek: . The nurse said he will probably sleep a lot today, she obviously doesn't know my child:o he reacts to the plasters but still had to have them on as he wouldn't stop bleeding. No more jabs now till 13 months woo hoo!

    I need sleep please lol

Also Poppy is going to be a mini Celeb in our town! Our local newspaper contacted me and asked if they could do a story on her! They did an interview yesterday, apparently Poppy had the longest stay in our NICU in the past 5 years and they are doing a 2 page spread on her which will be about her 1st Christmas at home and her struggle! They are coming to take pics on Saturday morning in front of our Xmas tree!! Is it really sad that me and hubby have been practicing our poses?!! :rotfl::rotfl:
