sammie why don't you just set the angelcare to sound only and take the pad off? Reuben naps in the day on my bed so i switch it to just sound, then at night when he's in his cot i switch it back to movement and sound.

jannine I'm glad to hear poppy is doing ok now, the last few weeks must have been hell. My niece had 2 holes in her heart repaired, it was successful and shes currently a noisy constantly on-the-go 9 year old ,she's just on the small side that's all :)

    Evening all :)

Jannine, good to have you back - so sorry to hear Poppy has been poorly, but glad she's on the mend now. Sending you a big ((hug)).

Just made myself a lovely cappuccino :D I bought a Nespresso machine with aeroccino (which turns cold milk into lovely hot froth) in Holland and it's fab :j They're cheaper over there to start with, and then they had a special offer on, so I just had to buy it! I'm treating it as a xmas present from me to me :)

Good day here, had a lovely brunch with a friend and her little boy who's almost 3 months old. LO's nap schedule got a bit messed up as we were out for longer than I'd expected, so we'll see what happens tonight - she's been waking up at around 3am for the past couple of nights and struggling to settle back to sleep, but no demands for milk! :) I'm really tired though - getting up twice in the night to feed and then sleep until 8am was a lot easier than not feeding (but still get up a few times to put the dummy back in) and then starting the day at 5.30/6am... I'm so not a morning person!

Off to bed - have a good night all x

    Evening ladies :)

Glad to see you back Jannine! Sorry to hear about Poppy's hospital stay and op though, can't imagine what you and your oh must be going through.

We've had a lovely day, haircut this morning (although as usual I bottled it and just got a trim rather than the total re style id been thinking of), had a wander round town with OH and G and bought a few xmassy bits including I love Santa pjs for the monkey! And then homemade pizza for tea. Turns out pizza is George's favourite sofar, only had to pickup about half of it off the floor rather than 90% like usual. Got to love blw! Gilly how long did it take A to actually eat rather than just fling it around?!

Ps I don't normally feed the baby pizza! Just a one off :o

Glad work is going well Sunshine and Aiden is enjoying Nursery, I'm pretty sure its worst for us Mums than our LO's!!

Thanks for the warm welcome back, will hopefully get on every day now and keep up to date with news!

Poppy started to talk a few weeks ago, she only says Da Da, but she knows who Daddy is and only says it when she can see him! I'm trying to teach Ma Ma but not having any luck yet!

Also Poppy is going to be a mini Celeb in our town! Our local newspaper contacted me and asked if they could do a story on her! They did an interview yesterday, apparently Poppy had the longest stay in our NICU in the past 5 years and they are doing a 2 page spread on her which will be about her 1st Christmas at home and her struggle! They are coming to take pics on Saturday morning in front of our Xmas tree!! Is it really sad that me and hubby have been practicing our poses?!! :rotfl::rotfl:

That coffee machine sounds fab Nutella! I love a good coffee, can't stand instant from a jar! We have a machine, but its a right faff to clean so it never gets used!

    xx

Hmm only a few weeks I'd say Katie, we started with puree's so hard to say. I'd say though about the third thing I tried was home made mini burgers and home made oven chips and good chunk of that went in. It's still the same now, if it's something he finds easy to eat or something he loves he'l get loads in. Have you tried French Toast? It's easy for them to gum as it's soft and easy to hold too. If it's something he's not keen on or he isn't in the right mood, too playful/tired he'l just throw it away.

Good to see you back Jannine, sounds like you've had a time of it lately!

Ahh she's so cute Jannine :D love her snow suit. We still have to get one but can't see any I really like that much and I have no clue what size to buy.

Hope Charlie enjoyed his brocolli and fish fingers Mozzy :) xx

I got a 12-18 for my little shorty, the body already feels like it's getting a little snug, and the arms and legs are way too long. :D I tried him in it before I took the labels off, guess you could just try a few? I ended up with one that'd do, rather than one I loved, if you see what I mean!

Quick question ladies, I'm thinking of selling Noah's baby monitor. He has the Angelcare movement and sound monitor but the alarm kept going off as he was moving up to one end of the cot so it couldn't detect him. He is nearly 9 months now so do you think I will need to buy just a sound monitor or not bother? If I put him down for a nap in the day I don't bother putting the monitor on as I can hear him talking to himself when he wakes up anyway. Also our bedroom is next to his do I hear him if he wakes in the night too. I'm thinking he will be fine without a monitor. What would you all do?
    Xx

Have you tried adjusting the sensitivity? Mine seems to still detect him even when he's stood up hanging off the bars.

Oh, mine has press stud hands and feet Gilly, so I guess if you had one like that and his legs got too long, you could always unpopper the feet and wear them like shoes? :D
