Hi jannine
Poor Poppy. Hope she continues to make good progress though and is feeling better soon. We did all remember her birthday and wondered where you were but obviously you have been really busy with Poppy. Huge hugs to you all.

Hi Ladies - remember me?!!
I've been missing for about 6 weeks now, Poppy has been in hospital and had major heart surgery. We have been to Alder Hey Hospital for the past 5 weeks and Poppy has been very poorly. She is home now thank god and on the mend. I was supposed to be going back to work at the start of November, that never happened and it looks like I'm not going back at all now.
So much has happened, Poppy has turned one (can't believe a year has gone by!) I hope everybody is well and hello to any newbies! I haven't had time to read back, I'll try and read the last few pages to catch up!
xxx
P.S How are you Sunshine, I know you have recently returned to work, hope its going ok? x
PP.S Exciting news Gilly about trying for another baby next year! I bet Aaron would love a little play mate! x
Oh hun, i'm so sorry to hear that! I just presumed you'd joined one of the many fb groups. So so glad that Poppy is on the mend. Did they know what was wrong?
Never mind about work hun, you just concentrate on yourself and Poppy now. That must of been quite a scare, big big hugs to you. Glad you are back so we can all support you xxDFD February 2012

Thanks Ladies!
I kept meaning to pop on, but never seemed to find time. Its going to be a long road until she is back to full health, she has lost quite a lot of weight and is only 13lb 7oz now so need to get her fattened up.
Love the picture of A with Santa, Poppy met him in hospital and was not impressed, I think I'll have to take her to our local grotto and have a picture done too. Its nice to have things like that to look back at.
Latest pic of Poppy taken yesterday before a quick walk.
xx
Ha ha - didn't notice my toes at the bottom of the pic before!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

Thought I'd pop in and say hi as I had my little one last week. Eleanor (Ellie) was born on 27th by emcs, as her hb started dropping with contractions. We've been home since Thursday and things are going ok. Currently doing the nighttime mega-cluster feed, been going since 2am with only 10 min snoozes for Ellieseems to be becoming a pattern, hopefully we'll get her down to sleep soon!
Congrats and welcome!! It gets better, but hope you manage to get some sleep soon x

Thanks hun, I'm not on facebook at all, its not really allowed due to my job.
We were expecting her to need the operation at some point, it was a condition she was born with and we knew it would need repairing, just didn't expect it to happen so soon. The Cardiologist that she has been seeing since birth said the operation could take place when she was older and stronger, but she deteriorated very quickly and they had no other option but to operate. In a way I'm glad its over with now, it was always at the back of my mind and worrying me. xx:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:

That's an Asda suit, I got her 0-3 months and it fits perfectly, was only £9.00 as well so a bargain! My husband says it looks like something he use to wear in the 80's but as long as she's snug!
My house is over run with toys now, the amount Poppy got for her first Birthday is unbelievable! Everybody keeps asking me what they can get her for Christmas - I've no idea what to say, our house already looks like a toys r us!!:heart2: Newborn Thread Member :heart2:
