Issue with Brother

Small word of warning....my daughter's phone has recently started not getting texts until hours or days after they were sent.
My OH's Sony Erricson phone never got texts until a full day after they were sent. Some texts never arrived at all.
A change of sim did nothing to help. Neither O2 or the phone manufacturers could tell us why this was the case. OH changed his phone and we now phone daughter rather than text.
I'm not saying that's what has happened here but just bear it in mind?
Perhaps a phone call (final if need be) would be a better decider?
Interesting. OH and I have been experiencing a few similar issues recently, but we both have different phones. We are with the same provider but on different plans.
Sometimes I text him on the way home to see if we need anything (like bread, milk etc), and it arrives AFTER I get home. Sometimes not at all. And the same goes for when he texts me.
Glad we aren't the only ones this happens with.February wins: Theatre tickets0 -
Sadly, he doesn't seem to be into any of us, he didn't even send our parents a Xmas card, never mind anything else, imo, that's worse than not sending us a Xmas card..........
I will try, if I get time, to contact him again in the morning but quite honestly, with all that we have to do, saying good-bye to our 3 lovely dd's, finish our packing, shower etc & get ready for a taxi at 11am, a trip to Heathrow followed by a 10 hour flight, he will be low down on my to do list.
Thanks anyway!
I assumed from your original post that your children were quite young? Obviously not as they're not coming with you.
We used to send a card to Oh's Niece and Nephew and put £10 in each (not sent through the post, was left at parents house), but we don't bother even sending a card now, they are much older (21 and 17 or something). Likewise they haven't send our kids anything for years, it doesn't bother us in the slightest.Striving to clear the mortgage before it finishes in Dec 2028 - amount currently owed - £18,886.270 -
Euronorris makes a very good point, perhaps I am focussing too much on the cards thing when the issues go deeper than that.
Yes, we have all been very supportive of him in recent years and I guess we do feel cast aside and yes, he could be depressed. My sister lives the closest to him (about 3 miles away) and she doesn't see him very often at all. He has been round to hers once since her Grand-daughter was born in May and saw her (& us) at the christening in July. My parents live about 180 miles from brother & sister, they saw my brother and his kids about 3 weeks ago and said he was fine, his usual self, but he could have been putting on a show for them, who knows, I wasn't there to see for myself & comment.
My dd's are 23, 21 & 17, very capable of managing our (their) home, two have lived away from home for 3 & 2 years so have some experience of budgeting etc. We would prefer it if they came with us but they have jobs/college/friends here so we have to respect their decision to remain. I will be home every 3 or 4 months anyway and we will skype regularly and phone often so we will keep regular contact. They also have a list of friends/family they can contact should they need/want to.
Thanks for the good wishes x0
