Not at all, I doubt it's that common for someone to buy something and the price to drop the following day and then they chase up the difference. I would also say it's the cost of doing business and keeping a happy customer. Why get a customers back up over "a quid"?A smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.0 -

It's probably not common for people to ask for the difference at the moment, but if a retailer made it their policy to do this then I imagine they'd be flooded with requests for refunds that cost more than the original price difference to process.0 -
Just to clear something up, I never demanded or argued - I simply asked. I was then advised they only way to do this was to send the entire item back.
People seem to take it upon themselves to blow things out of proportions.0 -
I'm quite surprised they offered you freepost to be honest, they don't have to. Did they send you a freepost envelope out?
BTW have you actually physically received your refund from Game yet?
Their freepost returns address is on their website. They have a 28 day money back guarantee.
Not received refund yet, it was freepost not teleportal post!0 -

if they did this then they would end up like Woolworths.
ive turned customers down for asking about price drop differences and have never lost the customer.
a good example is whsmith. instore a book will be £12 but on their site it will be £9 but the stores will not match the online price, Asda do this, Tesco do this and i guess many others do this.0 -
