The law says the OP was quite entitled to do what they did. They even gave the retailer chance to save a bit by not having to deal with the return, but they turned it down.
Hahaha. Excellent post. :T :rotfl::rotfl:A smile costs nothing, but gives a lot.It enriches those who receive it without making poorer those who give it.A smile takes only a moment, but the memory of it can last forever.0 -
I hope the OP has learned a valuable lesson from this incident.
If you complain to an organisation about something so utterly stupid, you will annoy the person dealing with your complaint. They in turn willl simply make a decision that it would be better for the company to lose your business for the long term, rather than have to put up with you again.0 -

exactly if you are going to pester them for refunded price differences each time a product is reduced then i dare say the store WONT want you as a customer, this is why they told you to return it.
hope the OP knows that these types of stores communicate amongst each other regarding troublesome customers etc. so you could find yourself a marked man amongst these stores, so make another so called request and you could see yourself banned from these stores.0 -

Its my money that I work hard for. If GAME offer a 28 day return policy then thats their problem.0 -

For someone claiming to be a retailer, what a load of old poppycock. Some kind of proof?
:rotfl::rotfl: @ being classed as a troublemaker for returning one item. You do make me laugh tex!0 -

The law also states archers can kill welsh people (not sure if its still in place but it was a few years back) taxi drivers in london have to have a bale of hay in the car. Some laws are outdated. The particular law was introduced to protect consumers and is now being taken advantage of, it was introduced to protect people from misgivings and misinformation that is far too easily found in e-commerce, it was never introduced so people could buy something and continue shopping around after they have purchased if it was this would be the case in the highe street and it isn't!starrystarry wrote: »Unfortunately it appears he/she was motivated more by "want" than by what was right.

Agree with you on this one, dont think you'll be blacklisted!!
Its not wrong/right what you did but from my point of viewits unnecessary. I'd like to compare this to 10p on the floor, some would pick it up, some wouldnt. Doesnt make the person any better/worse the difference is if you knew that 10p/£10000 that you found was somebody elses would you take it?! Some will still say yes and some no.
Another example. on the grabbits board a good offer comes up (pricing mistake etc) youd like one of that item so you proceed to purchase. You can afford to buy all the stock and know you can sell it on at a much higher price, do you proceed in taking it all or do you allow other people to take advantage and be happy that you have an item you want a fair/reduced price?!0 -
If I saw an identical item cheaper elsewhere, I would buy it there- if I hadn't already bought it. If I've made the wrong decision I accept it.0
