Groupon/Bodini not delivering/Groupon

    Like many others, I redeemed my original voucher on 19th October with Gadget Wizard.     I e-mailed them and Groupon daily to raise my concerns and received not even 1 reply!!

    A couple of weeks ago, I got a generic (non personalised), e-mail from Groupon stating Gadget Wizard could no longer honour the deals and to re-order with Bodini, which I did. At this point I assumed everything was eventually now sorted so you can imagine how cross we were to then receive an e-mail from Bodini to say they wouldn't be able to get the cars here for Christmas and could I choose another (despite their website saying they had an order of 3,000 about to be received)!! They said the 'alternative' choice (which we had to re-order via Eventbrite) would DEFINITELY be delivered by Christmas.

    So, here we are, 4 days to go and still no 'Porsche Boxer' although, I did have a confirmation e-mail last week from 'Eventbrite' quite clearly stating the following :

    Thank you for selecting your alternative car order from Bodini.com. You will receive your purchase before 25th December 2011.

    I have been emailing Bodini AND Groupon on a daily basis to try and resolve this but as with so many others, to absolutely no avail. Also, when you call Groupon and tell them why your phoning, your call is mysteriously disconnected?!!!

    Personally, I will NEVER use Groupon for anything again and I think it's absolutely disgusting that they are not stepping in and being accountable for the this sham?!??

    There are potentially going to be SO many disappointed toddlers on Christmas morning - mine included!

    Groupon - you should be utterly ashamed of yourselves!!!!!

    So ..... After posting on here earlier, I e-mailed Bodini AGAIN, simply pointing out they guaranteed pre Christmas delivery and asking where my order was. A couple of hours later, I've just had an e-mail telling me the car has been despatched but, no tracking number or anything provided so, forgive my cynicism but I'm still not convinced!

    Hi there I to have had the same problem, i told groupon straight away that gadget wizard was a scam, i found an address on their invoice which was local to me, however there was nothing there when i checked it out. I also ordered the audi through Bodini and have had the same emails so again reordered a porsche!! I too have received an email today stating dispatch with no tracking info!! If it turns up and I am not in they will hardly leave it anywhere and the chance of a redelivery before christmas is slim to none!! I have tried ringing the bodini numbers but get engaged tone or answerphone. However a friend of mine just went for the porsche when it first changed to Bodini and he has got his, so here's hoping ours turn up too. I just hope i'm home when it does turn up. After all this hassle I will be very annoyed if it is not here for xmas!! Good Luck :)

    Just an update guys - I received a response from Groupon on Monday saying they have refunded my £24.99 and to do what I wish with the tree!! I have today had an email from Bodini sayiing sorry you are disappointed they rarely have complaints!! I responded very strongly to tell them there is a whole forum about them and that nobody can get through to them to complain. They asked me to send the tree back tracked delivery - responded for them to deliver the correct tree and collect themselves. I also told Groupon that they are not doing themselves any favours by still selling goods for Bodini - to top it all I got a further email from Bodini yesterday saying my order has been despatched - I give up but I only lost £7.99 p&p so not too bad an outcome but I am stuck with a £14.99 Robert Dyas tree!

  • I have also ordered the car and have not yet received it. I spoke to Groupon yesterday and was offered a refund which I took them up on and they sent an email confirming that they had send for authorisaton for the refund. Within 10 mins of me speaking to Groupon I received an email saying that the car had been despatched, I emailed Bodini back asking for the tracking number and courier, which i received today. When I have tracked it the Yodel website says that they received instrictions on the 20th to collect the item and it is still awaiting collection!! I will be very suprised if I receive it in time for christmas, so have gone out and bought my son another one today from a supplier off eBay that has them in stock and can be collected.
    I have not had any other email from Groupon saying that i cannot have a refund so I will wait and see what happens, I can honestly say it is the last time I will buy any offer like this again.

    So, today I rang Groupon to find out if the audi tt sit and ride car was going to be here before Christmas and guess what, she asked what colour I ordered and I told her originally red but due to having to order it again through bodini I had to have black, so she told me estimated dispatch date was 26th dec for black, they're doing them in colour order!!!!!!! BRILLIANT! No main present for my 3 year old, explain that mr Santa Claus! I ordered the thing on 20 OCTOBER!

    I smell a rat here. I ordered a beanbag through Groupon by a company called Infurn. I too am having problems and when I got through to Groupon yesterday was asked what colour and then told delivery would be between 26th December and 30th January for the colour I ordered. And the phone number for Infurn goes to answer phone and then their voice mail is full.

  • So, today I received the personalised plates for my Audi tt sit and ride car which gave me a glimmer of hope that I may actually receive this before Christmas after all!! Think again, at 17.51 I receive an email from Groupon telling me that I have never placed an order with the new company 'bodini' and that they are refunding my money, should take 5 days!!!! FANTASTIC How have I not ordered it when on 13 dec 'bodini' emailed me telling me that they have matched my personalised plates to my order which will be despatched shortly?! I have been losing sleep over this and I will NEVER use Groupon again!

  • My car is supposed to be out for delivery today...... hmmm now I will have 2 cars as seen as we went out and purchased another yesterday as the tracking info said that it had been awaiting collection since the 20th and had still not been collected, what a farce this is. Wonder if I will get the personalised plates I ordred, im am thinking not as seen as there has been no mention of them from Bodini.
  • I wrote on here last week re my problems with Groupon and Bodini re the 10-1 games table. My last post was stating Groupon have given me a full refund for the games table and my order has been cancelled. Not sure as yet whether the refund has been paid but after logging onto bodini's web site it showed my order to be cancelled. Funny how on Wednesday this week i received the same email as others with a tracking number and sure enough the item arrived fully boxed up etc. Im not complaining because like other people my attempts to get another table had failed. Now its the turn of Bodini and Groupon to contact me, and my turn not to answer emails and phone calls, funny how things turn out. Merry Christmas people:p

    The car has just been delivered, so there is hope that everyone else will receive theirs today. It doesnt look like the personalised number plates have come but ill cross that bridge later.

    I have just checked on bodini's website and the status of the order has gone from despatched to processing, not sure if that is anything to do with the request i put into groupon on Wed cancel my order.
  • Bodini delivered my toy car yesterday minus the personalised number plates.

    The car is delivered pre-wired and partly assembled. I noticed that the unsecured front lights wiring came into contact with the right front plastic driving wheel and steel steering arm when I fitted the wheel. Further, the unsecured wiring could snag on a ground obstruction.

    The left and right front grills are supported by brackets. I have repositioned the lights wiring in front of the brackets to keep the lighting wiring clear. As a further precaution, I have fastened the lights wiring to the more secure switches wiring loom above the wheel.

    The lights wiring should have been installed as I have changed it.

    Although the wiring is low voltage, probably 6v., I am concerned the rubbed or snagged wires could short circuit.

    The remote control doesn't work.

    Apparent from that, its just fine!
