Another emetophobe here to....yukk.
Frogs is another one....they make my skin crawl, absolutely terrified off them:eek:0 -
While I was living in Gran Canaria my ex girlfriend told me she had a fear of whales tails. She couldn't watch them on the TV when the tail came out of the water.
So, being the considerate boyfriend, I drove her down the coast to this roundabout just outside of Mogan.Hi, we’ve had to remove your signature. If you’re not sure why please read the forum rules or email the forum team if you’re still unsure - MSE ForumTeam0 -
Mine is very weird and my husband thinks its hilarious, but i cannot bear labels in clothes, especially huge shiny flappy ones, they make me want to be sick, in the summer i see ladies walking around in vest tops with the labels hanging out and i feel sick for them......0

I only have one proper phobia: water. I can't even put my face under the shower
Other things that scare me a bit are: Alsatians, feet, other people's vomit, post (anything in my name) and polenta. The post thing is getting better, well it had to, as I was getting in trouble for non-payment of bills even though I had the money for them.
I'm working on my water phobia, but ideally I'd have a whole pool to myself. It's part fear of the water, part other people splashing (they might drown me!) and part wearing a swimsuit. I worry that any hairs will show and I can never seem to get a properly smooth bikini line (sorry, TMI).
I'm going to wander off to sit quietly in the corner now0 -
I suffer from xylophobia, a fear of wood. I can't touch unvarnished wood and feel sick when I see others touching wood (I can't watch cookery programs if they involve wooden spoons). I also get nauseated when I smell sawdust.
This problem has been with me since I was 5 and no-one in my family can explain it. It doesn't affect my day to day life as I just avoid wooden objects!MFW 2019 #61: £13,936.60/£20,0000 -
My phobia is being sick, or anyone else being sick! So so scary for me!
I have tried CBT, councilling, hypnotherapy but nothing changes it. Think I'm doomed to be strange forever!
My other one is the noise ice makes. I hate is so much, I cant get anything out the freezer anymore!
Oh, and milipedes and centipedes. HATE them! I know where this one came from though. It was from watching Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom when I was younger and seeing the centipede crawl under her hair in the tunnel! Still cant watch that bit!0 -
Mushrooms. I hate the them. Even writing that made me feel a bit ill!0
-
Other people's feet
Dentists - probably because the anaesthetic doesn't work properly on me and I always remember having 4 teeth taken out by an unsympathetic dentist.
People crunching ice
Worms - They used to make me retch when I was younger if I saw one but I am a little better now.
Tornados - I don't like their unpredictability0 -
Needles! If i see one on the telly or they get mentioned then i have to cover wrists/inside of arms etc, just incase.0

Ant eggs all clustered together freak me out and the cross section of a twig etc. Funnily enough honeycomb doesn't bother me.
Ant eggs the same as me, in fact anything insecty and eggyand maggots, especially seeing loads of them together.
I can't bear being sick to the point where l need DH with me to hold my hand! I don't like house spiders the way they gallop across the floor and if l see one l've then got the 'willies' and imagine theres another one lurking, waiting to pounce somewhere and can't relax.
God l've got a horrible feeling in my tummy and mouth now, at least it's reassuring to know l'm not alone.
Happy moneysaving all.0
