It's a valid method of getting TV. Cancel Sky, you get to keep the stuff and you can still view free to air channels.
People do so much to make sure RM does not get a penny, yet every time they watch free view or buy a newspaper the man makes money some how.
Unless he has been into your home and kicked your cat I dont understand why people cut there nose off to spite there face.
Im not having sky because RM owns it?? come on, really, should we have not grown out of this by now we are all adults after all0 -
cancelled the 'hd channel add-on' a month ago and went off Monday. Got a call on Tuesday offering me the pack for £2.50 instead of £10 -this is on top of the 25% discount on tv packs i was already given.

Can someone please tell me what number to call Sky on to get the thinking of leaving option, because I'm calling and I don't get that option only one that says cancel. I'm using 08442 410 2660

If you're thinking of leaving, then surely you want to cancel?
It's the same thing, just speak to an adviser. If you've got the wrong department they can give you the right number.0 -
I called them today and cancelled an extra subscription - ESPN and when I asked what else they could do to reduce my costs, they only offered me 20% off Sky World (full package) for six months.
I didn't feel that they were being overly generous and they wouldn't budge so I told them I'd think about it and I've just called them back, spoken to a different lady and they've given me 25% off Sky World for 12 months. Saving £13 a month (in addition to the £9 I was paying for ESPN).0 -

I have just sent an email asking them to cancel my sky tv, i have all the sports and HD. Never tried cancelling by email. It does say they will contact me by phone or email.
I am just off 2 consecutive 6 months half price deals. If i dont get another i will cancel.
I can get a streampro yearly subscription on the internet which costs £35 for the whole year, you get all the sky sports channels, setanta in oz, espn, horse racing channels and some movie channels.
I will call their bluff and cancel if need be. Im sure in the end i will be offered half price sky.
I will update you.0 -
i cancelled my sky world package last month, as 12 months half price deal came to an end.
when i cancelled i was offered 25% off the full-price bill, which i refused and decided to hold out for another half-price deal.
The tv went off on the 10th of this month and am yet to hear anything from sky.
Hopefully the call will come soon....0
