How do you do this? Is it just a case of ringing up and asking for the card?

theres loads and loads of channels free on your sky box

if you have a white viewing card it will work to get
    these free to view channels

    CH5
    Pick tv
    five usa
    five*
    sony entertainment tv
    viva
    motorstv
    lfc tv

if you dont have a white viewing card you can ring sky for one
    there £25 if i remember
if you think those channels are worth it
to me they are and the card should be good for a few years usage
until sky change/update the cards again

We run our old Sky box without a card. I don't miss Channel 5.

I love not paying Rupert Murdoch a penny piece.

  • I have heard that the best time to get a deal is early in the day,as the telephone people have quotas to fill,i am not sure how true that is.
I said I wanted to cancel my sky subscription £75 a month and they just said fine.

Just pull the existing card and you will see what channels you get (or lose).
No card is required to get the FTV channels.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)

I love how it appears you actively go looking for ways to avoid paying him a penny. Good luck with that one!

    What you talking 'bout Wilis?

It's a valid method of getting TV. Cancel Sky, you get to keep the stuff and you can still view free to air channels.

You best be hoping you do sir, or i promise you will be running back tail between legs in 12 months time.

    Sky is expensive
Sky IS cheaper than virgin Not the package I have been offered.
Sky product/service is better Been with Virgin for BB and phone for years, always found their service to be excellent.

Recently come off virgin and it was soo poor, glad to be back on sky.

Only on sky as i currently pay £56 for full HD package, HD multiroom, broadband, evening + weekend calls and line rental. Guessing it will stop (or be left with very little left to watch) when the contract is done unless we can get another friends and family discount

My equivalent package with Virgin is £40 a month cheaper and for the first 3 months is £64.50 cheaper.

You'll probably get a call a few days from the end of your 30 day notice period.

My 30 days notice ended around 3 weeks ago , I did get a questionnaire via email before it ended in which I said I would consider a deal if offered but I've not had any calls.
