I love it when people read the first post then jump straight to the end to put in their 2p’s worth!!!
If some were to read the whole thread they would see that you said on page 4 that you are going to lend him the money!
Whoops, missed that one, sorry. :rotfl:All shall be well, and all shall be well, and all manner of things shall be well.
Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.0 -

Yes but that was 4 pages of people saying lend him the money until the OP realised she was being unreasonable!0 -

its 4 pages - its not like its war and peace!
I think Victory may have got herself a bit confused thinking that son would be in debt before he got paid and not realised he would actually be getting 2 pays in 1 - easy mistake to make and OP has held up her hands and said 'whoops, I didnt realize that - I will lend it him' but people are still only reading the first post then jumping down her neck when she has already admitted being in the wrong!
Hell, Im happy to tell victory (or any other poster) when they are wrong or being unreasonable but I'll also back them up when people have walked in halfway/end of a conversation and carry on saying she's mean/tight/unloving/unreasonable/bad parent!0 -
I've not read the full thread so this could have been answered already, but is this the same son who demanded expensive birthday presents, money to go out on etc because his friends all got it, didn't work or contibute to the household in othe ways?
If so, no, I wouldn't lend it to him. Please excuse my bad spelling and missing letters-I post here using either my iPhone or rathr rubbishy netbook, neither of whch have excellent keyboards! Sorry!0 -
I'd lend him half of his wages for the week until he gets paid - that way he's going to have a nice little lump sum that you can persuade him to put away for her Christmas present.

Yes that is absolutely spot on right, I was confused thinking wrongly that son would already be in debt before he had even got paid and that is not what I would want for him or anyone, I know what it was like to owe before pay, then pay is all owe, terrible mess to get into:D
Thanks I HOLD MY HANDS UP whoops I didn't realise:D0 -
