Havent read through the whole read but the free line rental apparently will only come with the tv package, 2mb broadband and free calls at the start of May.

I am upgrading from a 1Meg connection @ £12-99 to the Max package. But, it does say on the website and when you speak to the CS bods, that you have to have their line rental to get the free calls.

Im not sure then, im gettin my free calls and line rental charged separately. Thanks for noting this out tho ill have to check this months bill.

I'm sorry, but I upgraded last Saturday (31st March) and didn't have the choice over the line rental.
Can I now change it?

you can always change your line rental to Tiscali, but i recommend you stay with BT until your exchange is Tiscali enabled. You will then effectively get your line rental for free. I have Tiscali at home and at my office and will keep rental with BT until exchange is Tiscali enabled

Sorry - my last post wasn't as clear as it could have been.
I did not have a choice in leaving my line rental with BT. In order to get the free calls, I had to change my line rental to Tiscali. The website on Saturday stated that line rental would be added automatically, as did the CS bloke I spoke to after the upgrade server crashed.
And, as I will still have to pay line rental to Tiscali even after the exchange is Tiscali enabled, if I'm still paying line rental to Tiscali, how will that change anything?

I had Tiscali broadband and weekend talk (£12.99). I was also paying line rental to Tiscalli (£10.99). After some time talking to CS I discovered that there is a £19.99 package with broadband, anytime calls and free line rental. However to get this package I had to cancel my existing line rental (which was with Tiscali !!). So today I have cancelled my line rental and next week I have to speak to CS again and they will give me the £20 all in package.

That will be their LLU service which is only available in certain exchanges that have been enabled.
