Just got off the phone there with Tiscali asking when there planning to release the above mentioned package and it appears its going to be the end of Jan 07.
I've read some MSE having horror stories with Tiscali and some who have had no problems what so ever.
As I've never been with Tiscali before I'm going to give this offer a try, it certainly looks good value for money since all your calls to 01/02 numbers are included, together with your line rental and broadband.

Thank you for this, I am finding BT extermly useless at the moment and have been looking forward to getting rid.Work like you don't need money,Love like you've never been hurt,And dance like no one's watchingSave the cheerleader, save the world!0

Been with them for a few years now.
Great as long as you don't have to use their call centre - fingers crossed.
As for reductions in charges, you've got to keep on top of them. Thanks for your post0 -

No, technically because tiscali are offerring free line rental as opposed to TalkTalk who offer free Broadband.
Tiscali package will be up to 8mb unlimited (FUP applies) - TalkTalk 8mb 40 gig.
There may also be a difference between minimum length of contract. Probably 12 and 18 months respectively.0 -
Thanks for that matrix999.
Was just gearing myself up to do the Virgin Bundle 3 package for £9.99 (free weekend/eve landline calls, 1Mbps/3Gb, free modem/activation, 12 month contract).
Virgin/Tiscali/BT/TalkTalk/Orange et al seem to have either very happy customers or very discontented ones. Luck of the draw, I guess!
This deal appears to be a good 'un.
Question - what about modem & activation/setup?
Any clues?
leecher - what's FUP?I'm NOT political so DON'T correct me!0 -

Does anyone know where tiscalis call centre is?? as im fed up to the back teeth with Indian call centres and will be changing from BT when my contracts up for this reason.0 -
I've been with Tiscali for over 2 years and only had 1 serious problem and their call centre in India was appaling, however when i called the last time to cancel the service. I spoke to someone in the south of England and after speaking to them i decided to stay as she fully explained what the problem was and apologised it was clearly explained previously.
i think the majority of call centres are in India etc but seems they have possibly 1 in the UK.
I'm seriously thinking of taking the offer as it is good deal.
FUP = Fair usage policy
No worries about the above i'll just use the OH internet and do my major downloads there.0 -
don't know where the line rental is coming from but you have to pay bt the line rental0
