just read you post and i'm suprised as i've just received a letter saying they are paying me the full amount £1019! The first letter i sent they offered a goodwill gesture of £429. I sent back the 2nd letter asking for the rest. Its taken them just over 4 weeks to reply to my letter but they've now offered me a further goodwill gesture of £590.12, which they say will be with me in the next ten working days. I was just about to start the MCOL. Good luck with your claim i'm sure you will be successful!
Got a letter from them today offering me the full amount - don't know what to do now as i spent £30 on starting court action. The letter they sent was dated before i spoke to them so they obviously had a change of heart.0 -
I'd be inclined to keep with the court action until they actually produce the money.

That's MBNA's complaint address and the same address i have been writing to in order to reclaim credit card charges. I've written to them twice and had a response to both letters. I sent both recorded delivery though. Did you send them recorded?0

Yeah send it recorded, for all you know the 6 letters you sent could have been lost in the post (unlikely!) but at least you'll know that it's been delivered to them. They were pretty good at replying to me. I requested £1019 back and got it all just by sending 2 letters. Took about 6/7 weeks in all. Good luck!0 -
thanks mate!how did you know how much to claim back and what was the reason you gave as i want to try and get this right this time, also we get charged £76 per month ppi at the minute?cheers0
-
Well i had all my statements so i just added up all the charges. These were late payment and over limit charges though.
To be honest i don't know anything about the ppi thing. So you maybe someone else can give you some advice on that. To reclaim the charges i claimed i just used the template letters on here0 -
I have three cards that are now MBNA abbey, virgin and MBNA silver
Do I need to write three separate letters or will one letter be ok?
Thanks0 -
Hi, I sent the first letter requesting the information about charges to my bank MBNA I included the £10 postal order, so did everything I was supposed to do, and in return I got a letter telling me they would supply the information for free, and it included a piece of paper with three transaction descriptions on?
What should I do now please. ?
The transactions were from 2004.0
