  • Hi I am currently on a repayment plan with MBNA...they have stopped charging me interest. I have gone ahead reclaiming my charges, and have yesterday issued the first letter having added up my charges. The refund...if I get it, wont completely clear the balance but am hoping they will let me continue on the current plan. Either way I thought it better to start the process. If they ask for the balance back...I will argue it then. Cant give what I dont have!! Fingers crossed

just come across your post. I am also in a repayment plan with MBNa at frozen interest and charges. I am considering a claim for illegal charges but unsure how it will affect my repayment plan.
How did you go on with MBNA. Did you win your case and have MBNA retaliated at all????
  • I am in the process of sending my letter back to MBNA and am at the moment adding up my charges. Can anyone tell me whether I can also claim charges for cash interest charges and promotional retail interest charges.

    Many thanks

Did you ring them, or write a letter. If you wrote a letter what did you put in it?

I am trying to cancel my PPI aswell. In my first two letter to them I have asked them to cancel it which they have ignored. So I am going to have to ring them about that as I know they have had the letters.

    Hi

Looking for some sensible advice, I'm trying to claim back £1400 in charges from Mbna

Today i got a letter back from them stating their charges are fair, the usual flannel!,but as a goodwill gesture they have offered £530.00 as a full and final settlement.

Now the poser... I have been in a battle with Mbna for a month for an interest rate reduction which i now have got so do i still send the next letter accepting the money as a part payment.

    Thanks in advance Karl

  • Just Received List Of Bank Charges Back From MBNA Credit Card, Am I Right In Thinking I Can Claim Cash Advance Interest, Retail Interest, Overlimit Fee Charges & Late Fee Charges? Also I have Just Gave Payplan SOA As My Ptnr And I Intend To Go Through An I.V.A, If I Was Entitled To Any Charges Would I Be Able To Keep The Amount Or Would They Be Deducted From Credit Card Balance?

Hi, you would be unable to claim back cash advance interest or retail interest but certainly can claim back overlimit fee charges and late fee charges. Not sure about the IVA questions perhaps someone else can help!
